Discussion: President Obama On Trump: 'I Don't Think He's Ideological'

Trump: I am open minded. I might think about appointing Obama to SCOTUS. He seems smart.

President Obama is a diplomat who’s not going to dis even a blatant dummy. Unlike the dummy who never held back from saying disgusting things about the man he never respected but should’ve.

What’s the line on Trump jettisoning one or more of his platform statements?

I’m asking for a friend

I wish Obama would just stop. Just stop.

I’m not real happy with him right now anyway and this ain’t helping. Instead of this bullshit he should figure out some way to avoid handing us over to this completely unfit person. That would be honoring the oath of office he took.

Good people around Trump.

Just stop, Obama.

Pathological, perhaps.

President Obama is giving Donald Trump a heads up (or a warning depending upon how you interpret this wording) about the road ahead. Of course, neither Trump nor his followers are wise enough to get the message - they will just take this as a total compliment to “our new leader.”

From the President’s lips to God’s ears…pleasepleaseplease…

“I don’t think he’s ideological” == “He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”

Trump is a sucker for flattery. Lay it on thick enough and he might switch parties.

Obama is being way too nice about it, but I think it’s his way of suggesting that Trump is completely full of shit and doesn’t know what he stands for from any given minute to the next and from any one topic to the next. But we already knew that.

Obama: it is all about benchmarks. More benchmarks to come in our daily lessons, Donald.

IMHO our president tries to pull a miracle and turn himself into a Trump whisperer.

I figure Trump’s rhetoric came from themes and trends of TWITter, then he used them in his rallies and kept what got the best reactions, and yes I know we all know this. But now with Reincy, Bannon and whoever becomes his communications guy they’ll censure what he hears and reads (oops he doesn’t read, so job half done). So this continuing to do rallies is just his way of figuring what’s on his supporter’s minds.

“I don’t think he’s ideological.”

Proof of the pudding is…Steve Bannon is Chief Strategist in the People’s House.

I think we can call it the WASP House again.

…Trump is going to tear up Michelle’s garden, isn’t he? Fuck.

Remember Obama prides himself on his ability to work with the opposition. That was one of his claims to fame when he first came into office. But of course he had never encountered anything like the utter ideological opposition that he met from the Republicans. However, he learned how to respond accordingly. But the way he is here dealing with Trump is, I think, actually his preferred modus operandi. And I suspect he would have some success with it–if he were around for the next 4 years.
