Discussion: President HW Bush's Last Words Were 'I Love You, Too' To Son George W Bush

Any testimony by GWBush is suspect. Even this one. Where are the witnesses?

The speech was a son honoring his father and the other speeches were friends honoring a friend.
What stood out was Trump appeared to need not only an interpreter but an explainer.

Barf. I’m sorry, but … who cares ? Father / Son Love between a yellow cake criminal to an Iran-Contra criminal, how darling.
Anyway this whole day is offensive. We are a democracy governed by citizen rule. Presidents are civil employees who work for the people - presidents sure as hell aren’t kings or demi-gods. Why is this a “national day” of any sort? When did elected heads of our executive branch ascend to the lofty olympian heights, where their every pedestrian civil (and criminal?) moment and history changes into gold ?

Too bad all of the fathers, sons, mothers, and daughters that Bush (R-War Criminal) sent off to die in his wars did not get to experience such moments.

I wonder if they told HW Bush’s “David Cop-a-feel” joke that he used to say as he molested young women.

Such a funny guy.

Trump’s last words will be: “you’re an idiot, Don Jr., and a traitor for ratting me out to Mueller.”

More Appropriately it would have been “I still don’t know why you went into Iraq a second time, We stopped outside Baghdad for a good reason, but you just had to listen to Dick. Barbara was right, it should have been Jeb, not you.”

I don’t really “like” this comment, but I agree with the sentiment. That was a tacky line, attached to a tacky act, that was no joking matter.

Almost from day one I’d say. With all the Silent Sam and Civil War stuff in recent NC news, was reading about how shitty Lincoln was toward blacks throughout much of the early years of his tenure.

Bottom line is all presidents are human and as such aren’t prefect even when they try.

I was thinking of something less cerebral like,

“You’re kneeling on the I.V., you moraahhhh!”

George W Bust is a cretin and a war criminal. He lied the country into war. It is a hell of a thing to do, to lie the country into war. His father and mother never understood that. Neither did the Obamas. Because none of them wanted to understand that.

It is only recently that there has come about a better general understanding of the failings of the Founding Fathers, particularly with regard to slavery, particularly with regard to Jefferson. GWB is just a pustule compared to them. Will it take one hundred or two hundred years for there to be a better general understanding of GWB?

I’m thinking more along the lines of: “Is that a bone saw?”

What was really great was that the Whiner in the White House had to sit for hours through something that wasn’t about him

What were the last words of a million Iraqis to George W. Bush?

I’m missing why this is news. It seems to me more telling to note is that the occasion of a dead president gets a federal holiday, but voting doesn’t - not that voting makes much difference.
