I’d like to point out that this repost of an AP article has other glaring structural issues:
in the first line:
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The pregnant wife of an Indianapolis pastor has died after police said she was shot during a robbery at her home.
More like don’t post anything from the AP that could have been written by a 12 year old, where the police saying something results in the passive voice of someone dying.
But somehow not surprising. They’re shooting doctors in church. They’re gunning down children in school, and people watching a movie. We fight wars we don’t even know we’re fighting, adamant in distrust of government, apparently unless it involves spending a lot of money abroad.
Money. Robbery. It’s true. Only the good die young.
Can we add a benefit of being PRIME subscriber to mean “freedom from the horrid click-bait you sometimes publish.” Seriously. I’d rather have ads than more of this. More muck-raking, long form journalism and editorial blogging; less of this, please.
Absolutely. The fury of liberals against religious folks knows no bounds, and the lust to find a pastor who is a hypocrite is endless. I find it nauseating. I am an atheist who is also involved in my UU church. I have no interest in trying a religious person for murder while he is still in the first throws of mourning of his wife. There is also a child. If you made a post speculating about the husband, you can go and delete it now, and rescue a little bit of self-respect. I will still hold you in contempt for the nauseating crap many of you posted, but if you delete it no one else will read it.
It is amazing and appalling how hypocritical many here are. Had any statements like these been made about BLM or any liberal group, the maker of such statements would be figuratively drawn and quartered right here in the comments section. Yet, people feel comfortable saying the most vile and disgusting things about someone who is a religious person. Contemptible. One reason I no longer identify as a liberal is this herd mentality of compulsive stupidity that liberalism creates.
What does that have to do with it? A comments section is not subject to libel laws. News is, as are public accusations. This comments section is anonymous. LE would only investigate and prosecute threats on comments sections.
Between 2003 and 2007, 28% of the 3.7 MILLION robberies were done with someone home. That’s over a million robberies with someone home, about 250,000 per year. In 7% of that 3.7 million, a household member experienced some form of violent victimization. That’s 259,000 victims. Average about 65,00 per year.
Please link me to your stats on pregnant women that you are making claims on. You seem pretty sure of yourself, so please post them. If I am wrong, I will apologize and admit it. The reality is that pregnant women being killed is FAR less prevalent than home invasion robberies. And of the pregnant women that do die, though murder is the leading cause of their death, it’s still only 20% of those deaths. So 1 in 5 pregnant women who die are murdered. So this is by FAR the less likely scenario, yet for some reason that’s the first thing that pops into your head.
The fact that this is a huge story reinforces my point. The same day, there were dozens of home invasion type robberies across the US, but it’s so common they do not become national stories.
Oh, really? It’s ignorant to point out the fact that pregnant women are more likely to be killed by the father of their child? Facts are ignorant to you? I’m sure you’re one of the true luminaries who believe snowballs disprove climate change. And STFU? Really, that’s your brilliant response! I’m not your fat ass, ugly wife. You don’t get to tell me to shut up.
I was until quite recently pretty left-leaning. I am no longer left-leaning. I find the incredible stupidity of the left about immigration to be intolerable. It has entirely changed my thinking.
Please find the post in which I even suggested the husband did it. I merely pointed out a fact. The fact is, and it is a fact no matter how badly it upsets your chauvinist sensibilities, that the father of a murdered pregnant woman’s child is most likely to have killed her. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether the father is a pastor, an athlete, a doctor, or a criminal. Go Google it. This isn’t that complicated.
And by the way, I’m black and I’m a Christian, so your concern trolling bullshit about liberals automatically seeing the worst in Christians is more bullshit. And you reveal your own bias about Christians in your assumptions about both Christians and liberals. For all you know, the pastor husband could be a liberal who preaches at a liberal church. But I do find it interesting and rather telling that you feel a need to keep injecting race into an argument that has nothing to do with it.
