It’s because the lady and her husband are religious. It is indeed appalling. Police have said there was a robbery in a house nearby shortly before this, and several in the neighborhood the days before. I’d say that’s more likely “related” at this point.
Had this been a black lady and male pastor, the same people would be saying it’s the kkk, etc., not the husband.
Just sick. If they find out the husband did it, THEN you make such posts. Otherwise it is just depraved, ignorant and bias to make such posts.
And no, I am not backing off my comment if the husband did it. Wait for facts, then rip the hubby if he did it. I’ll definitely be ripping him a new a-hole if he did it.
Except I never defended GZ. All I said was that murder was a stupid charge and they would not get a conviction, and I was correct. I suggested negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter be the charge (like the police suggested), and you would have got a conviction.
Nancy Grace and almost all talk show hosts are routinely sued. They also have big bucks to back them up (the network handles that), and either fight cases until the other party backs off, or settle them if the settlement will be far less than legal fees. Recall Bill Maher got sued by Trump. Had that been me or you saying that about Trump on TV, we’d be bankrupt from defending ourselves against him. Luckily Maher had the bucks to kick his ass in court.
Involuntary Manslaughter refers to unintentional killing from criminal negligence. He never said he shot to “kill” him, just that he shot him because he was trying to grab his gun. A negligent homicide charge still sticks in that scenario. GZ showed negligence in his initial pursuit, and by not initially identifying himself to Mr. Martin. That lead to a homicide.
The fact that he skated proves I was correct, and you somehow twist that as me defending him.
Uh, that would be because you got the thread off topic by starting in on, “Oh,look over there, a black person and kkk…” You know nothing about what George Zimmerman thought or did, by the way. Your assumptions of negligence show how your mind works, not his.
Because I see these knee jerk reactions by conservatives and liberals all the time. All the black church fires is a good example. The number of fires was nothing out of the ordinary for fires at churches, they are pretty routine and always have been. Yet for every fire the comments immediately were that the person had determined it was a hate crime. Total BS in almost every case, if not every case. And every time a person is murdered, the conservative nuts right away think it’s a black who did it. No different than what is happening here.
And I was not assuming negligence at all. I was stating only that you could have easily got a conviction for that. I’d want him charged with something I can nail him on, he should definitely have done jail time.
I couldn’t care less that her husband is a pastor. Murder is the leading cause of death for pregnant women and the killer is usually the husband or boyfriend. I, and I’m sure many others here who raised an eyebrow at this story, would immediately question the husband’s possible involvement no matter what his occupation might be. And for the record, I, like the vast majority of liberals and progressives, am a Christian, so I don’t assume all pastors and all Christians are right wingers.
Yeah, because everyone thought Rae Carruth’s ex was shot by the KKK. You’re as racist as you are silly.
She was still alive and called 911 and said Carruth’s car was there. I suspect that if this lady was able to call 911 to say her husband was in the house, that would definitely lead many (including me) to say he probably did it. So why would you bring up a case where the only similarity is that a pregnant lady was killed, and where the lady essentially ID’d the killer?
People get killed in home invasions a lot more. And there has been a rash of robberies and home invasions in that neighborhood, including one that morning in a nearby house. At this point that seems like a far more related thing, though I still prefer to wait for facts. Sure, it’s also possible he used that rash of robberies and home invasions as a “cover”, but I’d need facts on that before accusing him.
Why would you bring up race? It’s absolutely asinine and idiotic.
Well, no shit. Only one person accused the husband. One. Others simply wondered if he was involved, and statistically speaking, it absolutely makes sense because a pregnant woman is most likely to be killed by her husband or boyfriend and because home invasion robberies are also pretty rare.
