Discussion: Preet Bharara Compares His Firing To Disbanding Of Public Corruption Panel

What time is the next WH press briefing?

Will Sean Spicer call in sick?

No doubt Preet was operating tbe magic microwaves, on behalf of arch villain, master spy, Obama. Kellyanne found out and tipped off Trump.

Edit. President Action, President Impact; President Impaction.

The interview is nuts.

She claimed that Obama may have used “microwaves that turn into cameras,” adding: “We know this is a fact of modern life.” Conway said that “there are many ways to surveil each other,” including through “phones and television sets.” Trump has said, also without evidence, that he believes the Obama administration was spying on him

Damn ! He’s smart, that Obama guy…

Trump thinks he’s cleaning out all the moles and spies. But he’s dismantling his safety net of competent help, piece by precious piece.

I’ve been trying to come up with an analogy to the feeling I get watching Trump work. It’s like the doomed-and-wincey “he can’t see what’s happening and how completely messed up he is, AND he’s convinced he knows more than everyone else” feeling I had watching Memento:

Is it me, or something is seriously wrong with our discourse if we keep saying “she has no evidence,” “without evidence,” “there is no evidence” about entirely insane, absurd pieces of fuck that should have made it straight into The Onion?

When you ‘believe’ that you’re KING there’s very little you won’t do.

You are not alone. While news outlets are using “no evidence”, “without evidence,” etc., to cover themselves legally, the biggest problem is that there is an implicit indication that there might be evidence.

When we all know this stuff is 100% industrial strength, unadulterated horsepucky. And we should just be saying “another lie”…

Cue predictable Spicer false equivalency…

“As President he’s well within his rights to do this. It’s normal. Bill Clinton did it. We’re working on finding proof Obama did something relatively similar so we can blame this too on him. Stop with the fake news and laugh when I instruct you to.”

It’s a lingering habit of the so-called “legacy” media. The younger folks at the online outlets will fairly readily call someone a crazy liar if he or she is obviously a crazy liar. But the older-culture ones won’t say something is true just because it’s obviously true. It has to be provably true for those ones to acknowledge it. It’s like being Amish; they’re out of step with the times but it feels right to them anyway.

I think the media need to read up on “Intersectionality”. After that, “Hey, ho, Sean has got to go!” chants at the press briefings will become the norm.

Great great film.

Actually, the real malfeasance here isn’t about “no evidence”, its the part of the story that DOES have evidence, that under any President would be THE story right now, and instead is being ignored.

Trump made a serious break in protocol when he called Bharara directly. This is the AG with jurisdiction over Trump Towers directly. There is NO good reason for Trump to be calling him…bearing in mind that he is so freaking worried about getting busted with his Russian contacts that he literally said they had a wire up on him in TT…at all. Not even to call him on his birthday and wish him “Happy Birthday”…and it wasn’t Bharara’s birthday.

This is a breach that is perfectly aligned with several other attempts at obvious Obstruction (His WH Counsel going to the FISA court to look for warrants, Priebus going to the FBI to tell them to bury any investigations into Trump administration personnel, etc).

This time we have the actual, sitting President involved directly. But the press is going out of its way to ignore this pattern and the actual contacts.

Public corruption is now anyone who speaks the truth about Trump and his storm troopers.

Yup, absolutely spot on.

Hate to keep kicking the (oft tired and overused) “rise of the Third Reich” can all the time – but 1930s, anyone??

Just one more connection to Russia as well. As if we needed more…Let’s just say, any enemy of Putin’s is also an enemy of Don the Con.
