Discussion: Possible State Map For 2020 Emerges From Midterm Results

Not sure how losses that are so close they are going to recount in Florida qualify as electoral dominance for Republicans. If anything, the continued reddening of Ohio is more discouraging. And Florida added 1.5 more potential voters who might skew Democratic with the new law on felons voting. But it’s also likely Florida will continue to break our hearts.

1.4 million new potential voters skewed heavily towards minorities due to racist bias who have been denied voting rights should skew heavily against the Republicans imo. Florida should return to blue.

Remember - this election took place during a time when the economy is still good - and Republicans still took a beating.

Most experts believe the economy in 2020 will be much different as the impacts of trump’s trade wars and tax policies begin to be felt.

I wish people such as Bennett and Green just STFU. Their comments are so transparently self serving, they look stupid. Neither Beto, Gillum, or Abrams are third way centrists bur nor are they Bernie style ”revoltion” is the answer nihilists

You mean talking to conservatives as if they are: scientifically-illiterate, history-ignorant, xenophobic morons who want their violent impulses legitimized by a deluded, totalitarian, wanna-be dictator combining Mussolini’s physical mannerisms with Hitler’s rhetorical style?

Because that’s how Trump talks to his supporters. And if that’s what Triantafilou means by present-day conservatives, then, I hate to say it, but he’s probably right.
