So is he going to siphon voters away from Dem? Check his funding to see if it’s in rubles or dollars.
He’s a libertarian, not a Green. He’ll siphon votes from the Republican.
These third party wanna be’s are like the undead.
He wants to legalize weed so he can have a monopoly on sales, BTW.
Do not discount the damage this person can do. To me it was incredible that he won a second term as governor after destroying the State’s education system from Head Start through the universities, and rather trumpisly busting on all environmental and work safety controls. I give credit to the right wing nut Albuquerque Journal who consistently supported him to the point of an editorial calling State OSHA inspectors “NAZI” for daring to respond to an employee safety complaint. And he will get lots of campaign money from out of state to help shift votes away from the Democratic candidate.
Has anyone investigated his ties to the Kremlin?
Asked in 2016, Gary Johnson cannot name one world leader on TV interview. His VP running mate, Weld, visibly decompensated.
Thank you for this. I realize that he has more popularity in his home state than the nation but the Heinrich camp HAS to show that interview in ads for their candidate. Johnson proved himself to be a no-nothing idiot who doesn’t want NM to have any government resources but also doesn’t have any other alternatives in mind for the State other than so what I’ve got mine.
He was nicknamed “Governor Veto” for 700-plus vetoes during his two terms in Santa Fe. Admirers liked his dedication to limiting the size of government. But detractors considered him narrow-minded and incurious about the outside world.
Should be running as a Republican then . That there’s some base kinda ignorance
Aleppo? I would say he is now considered famously incurious.
Remember that in order to win his first term Roberto Mondragon had to be in the race to siphon votes away from Bruce King. He won his second term running as an incumbent. Incumbency has a lot of power in the Land of Enchantment.
If he runs for the Senate seat as a Libertarian, who is going to siphon votes away from Marty Heinrich?
Yep. He has that basic evil too.
“What is Aleppo?”
Sure, Gary, jump in the race. I’m sure that will go really well for you.
PuPPet who plays golf four days a week says he’s going to stump for Rs in the fall six or seven days a week, so the question is have we reached the Beatles’ mythical eight days a week and a fully loaded calendar will be possible.
I tend to agree with those who argue that Johnson is at least as much a drag on the Republican candidate as the Democrat with, at worst, a net effect of zero on the race for governor.
Reich-wing voters can be comfortable with Johnson in the same way they are with the Pauls (Ron and Rand) because they share many of the same objectives; e.g., dismemberment of the protective state WRT ethnic minorities and women and “tentherism” disguised as libertarianism.
“There are but two parties now, traitors and patriots. And I want hereafter to be ranked with the latter and, I trust, the stronger party.” —Ulysses S. Grant
Not necessarily.
I really don’t see how this would make a difference.
Gov. Johnson’s 2016 Presidential bid really depressed me. Until then, I had always maintained the hope that mass consumption of marijuana did not lead to significant cognitive impairment.
Actually, I think his question was “What is a leppo?”
Ratfucking, on a par with Walkaway assholes.
