Canada has never attacked our diplomat’s brains, literally attacked their brains, but who are we fighting with? LOCK HIM UP
Trump in retreat.
What is being done to analyze/diagnose this? (I know little about the science of sound–you could put what I do know in a thimble and still have room for your finger–but I thought that all sonic frequencies could be captured, and from that I should think scientists (if the government still has any) could at least describe what’s been happening.)

[/quote]Yes, but Canada was a British colony when England burned down the White House more than 200 years ago. Therefore, Canada is a real and imminent threat to our national security and tariffs must be imposed.
And as I wrote that, I realized that there are thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of Americans who are satisfied with that being a good enough reason for Trump to do another stupid thing.
If this is malacious I would think the Chinese would have tested this on some other embassies (or buildings) watching for reactions. Maybe they have?
I imagine all sorts of things can be done at low frequencies with phasing and resonance. I once lived about a half mile from a large pharmaceutical manufacturing facility with all sorts of exhaust blowers going. There was nothing but grass fields between my house and the plant buildings. During the daytime there was no perceptible problem. At night I could definitely hear “beating” of very low (but audible) tones through my pillow as the fan motors went in and out of phase. I doubt it was a physical health hazard but it was noticeable and annoying.
I don’t live there anymore.
In the Cuba incidents, it seemed natural to suspect Russia’s involvement, but here, I don’t see the Russians messing with the Chinese. Got to be a connection somehow.
Honestly I doubt they could tell you against whom we’re imposing tariffs or what the bad reasoning is. They’re post-truth and post-policy. They don’t care about any of that. Trump makes the other team mad and that’s all they know. It’s professional wrestling, no more serious than that.
I have studied acoustics, and sound waves are indeed detectable, with a transducer.
Some people call them “microphones”.
I had the same problem with a small building built as a cell phone repeater station. Super annoying.
This is the leading text of on the subject of sonic weapons:
OK, so what’s happening? And what can be done to foil the evil-doers?
State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert was asked about Germany yesterday on the anniversary of the D-Day landing
"Looking back in the history books, today is the 71st anniversary of the speech that announced the Marshall Plan. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the D-Day invasion. We obviously have a very long history with the government of Germany, and we have a strong relationship with the government of Germany."
Before taking on the role of historian, she worked at Faux.
Given Putin’s belief in his own superiority, I wouldn’t put it past them, especially if Russia could hire a third party to actually do the dirty work. After all, hurting a rival emerging superpower like China would be to Putin’s advantage.
After all, look at Iran. Putin was all buddy-buddy with them on Syria, but the people who encouraged the Kurds to hold a referendum on independence were linked to Russian Oligarchs- and it was Putin’s pal Donnie that took us out of the Iran deal.
…China had “said all the right things and have demonstrated their willingness to help us identify the vector which led to this medical incident.”
And you can take what China says to the bank.
If the left was as insane as the right, this is what we’d be saying:
This is a trump admin attack against workers left over from the Obama administration!
This audio weapon functions as follows:
- Record trump blather.
- Frequency shift recorded blather so that it is outside the range of human hearing.
- Playback at high volume with directional mic pointed at heads of Obama workers.
- Trump blather causes brains of Obama workers to melt.
The above is no sillier than the fever dreams that donnie and the republican propagandist media create, and that their followers believe.
As I understand it, victims, who appeared to be aware of anything, reported dizziness or some kind of discomfort that eventually passed. So the source appears to be localized and temporary. Getting detection equipment in line could be difficult.
Assuming the attacker doesn’t just aim somewhere else.
Seems like we need a serious tech-head, secret Manhattan-type project here. Have a bunch of trucks with sensors ready to airlift in. They could try and triangulate the source. Unless it’s an airborne source or something coming from a satellite or a group of satellites.
