Jesus F. Christ. Hereâs another âconcerned oneâ. Soon theyâll have to move to new venue to handle the overflow.
Heâll vote for it. Moderates have no spine.
If the final legislation is good for Ohio, I will support it. If not, I will oppose it.
Give me a perk for Ohio and youâll have my vote. If you donât, you still have my vote. Leadership!
Ohio is the opioid capital of Murika, his constituents are dropping like flies, and he âmay still vote for the billâ.
The spineless / heartless / clueless combo-platterâŚ
Thereâs not enough Summerâs Eve on the planet to take care of the GOPâŚ
The only concern he has is how he can dodge the town halls, vote for this piece of shit and still get re-elected
But what about the extremely wealthy people who are only getting a 15.8% income tax break on capital gains over $200,000 rather than the full 19.6% break they are morally entitled to, eh? What about them? Why isnât anybody concerned about them?
Itâs an interesting problem for the GOP. If they cut Medicaid, they will piss off, not only many of their constituents, but also most of the major health insurance companies and hospital organizations. Few people know that most of the major health insurance companies have been scrambling to sign up Medicaid managed care recipients for more than a decade nowâitâs big business for them. Medicaid also provides a lot of revenue for hospitals.
If the GOP doesnât cut Medicaid, though, their bill will end up costing more money so they wonât be able to pass it through reconciliation.
So they canât pass a bill they wouldnât piss nearly everyone off but, if they donât pass a bill, theyâll piss off most of their base. I canât imagine a more deserved dilemma for them.
So whereâs:
The main-stream media?
The DNC?
The DCCC?
AARP?
Religious Leaders?
All AWOLâŚ
Do what is right, not what will get you elected Portman.
Rob: As our Dad/Mother told us on occasion: âwhen you lay down with the pigs, you stink.â You stink Rob.
Well hell Max, they only get a week to respond and the bill text is 140+ pagesâŚ
He was âconcernedâ about the bill but would wait to see it. Now heâs âconcernedâ about the bill but will wait until the CBO score. Then heâll be âconcernedâ about the bill and the score but will vote for it anyway. Letâs hope that the next time heâs âconcernedâ it will be because heâs about to get his ass kicked when heâs up for re-election.
âIâm very concernedâ, Portman intoned, his hand making a carefree jerking-off motion.
If he was still around, Harry would already be drafting a Sternly Worded Letter.
The Cleveland Clinic is desperately trying to formulate a spine for Senator Portman.
Suffice it to say, current efforts have been less than successful. It keeps morphing into something else Portman apparently needs as well.
Whereâs the AARP? At the early bird special. Theyâll issue a statement about 6 in the morning, after theyâve gotten up and had coffee.
That suggestion is lost on conservatives, who wouldnât know âwhatâs rightâ from a hole in the ground.
Hold your nose and vote, you hypocrite!
âI continue to have real concerns about the Medicaid policies in this bill, especially those that impact drug treatment at a time when Ohio is facing an opioid epidemic,â he wrote in a statement. (Sen. Rob Portman - Russia - OH)
Two things bother me about this faux concern ⌠well three, really:
-
So, if Ohio wasnât experiencing a drug addiction epidemic, is he intimating heâd give his support to the legislation and just say âfuck offâ to the other states?
-
Again, what it it werenât an epidemic but still a decent number (or just ten or two) of Ohioans suffering from opioid addiction â would he say âfuck off?â
-
The sentiment is fake anyway. Heâs a Republican, after all.
