Discussion: Portland Mayor Aims To Nix 'Trump Free Speech' Rally After Anti-Muslim Attacks

Meanwhile …

Multnomah County GOP chair James Buchal, however, told the Guardian that recent street protests had prompted Portland Republicans to consider alternatives to “abandoning the public square”.

“I am sort of evolving to the point where I think that it is appropriate for Republicans to continue to go out there,” he said. “And if they need to have a security force protecting them, that’s an appropriate thing too.”

Is there anything more American than using the SPLC’s listing of hate groups to find security forces to protect your “free speech” rights and, you know, make America great again?

“He told us to go back to Saudi Arabia, and he told us we shouldn’t be here, to get out of his country,” Mangum said.

Evidently the very Christian Christian missed Comrade Cockholster’s recent Wahabbi lovefest. Otherwise he surely would’ve picked another country for these American citizens to go back to.

Yeah I saw that in today’s Oregonian. He wants to use Oathkeepers and 3percenters–Yikes. I know a couple of 3percenters, and they are largely all bark, but are also heavily armed.

This idea is either delusionally laudable, or laughably delusional.

Okay, was familiar with the Oathkeepers but not the 3%ers; thanks, Wikipedia:

The group’s name is based on the American Revolution military’s armed resistance against the British. They claim the American Revolution’s military constituted three percent of the population. This number does not align with current scholarship which believes that at least 15% of the over-all population served in either the Continental Army or state militias.[3] The participation rate of the eligible population is estimated to have been higher than in most other American military conflicts. About 375,000 men are believed to have served in a nation of 2.5 million people.

Man, does today’s right hold any opinion, policy preference or grandiose self-characterization that isn’t based on something completely bogus?

Telephone messages left at the home of Christian’s mother Sunday and Monday were not returned. It was not clear if he had a lawyer yet.

In view of Trump’s campaign promises, I think Mr. Christian should send the fat guy a bill for legal services.
