Why are all adult film actresses “porn stars”? Like, we don’t say “Duggar was seen Tuesday having lunch with movie star Clovis Johnson, who according to IMDB last appeared as a goofy neighbor in some indie film directed by Corey Haim.”

I think the creepiness is less the story and moreso highlights the hypocritical nature of his public life. And I’m not even talking about being married. Sure, he lied and was deceitful to his family, but that happens to a lot of imperfect couples. The man specifically discussed morality and what should be legal/illegal based on the foundation of his faith (and implied in that is his adherence to it). The salacious details of this little tryst really exacerbate how ridiculous it is for people to be shaping public policy on these kinds of matters when they can’t live up to their own rules.
