Not Catholic, but having spent so much time during teen years among the big Catholic family of my two best friends-- I know it’s a rejuvenating time for that faith.

I’ve got little use for loudmouth bigots of any creed, but I’ve always thought actual practicing Christians, the quiet kind who mostly strive to love other people without judging them, were pretty easy to take. This Pope, in addition to being Catholic, would seem also to his great credit to be a real Christian. Long life to him. Cool guy too.

Game recognizes game. Didn’t the pontiff say he used to be a night club bouncer? It’s swell the cons are upset that His Holiness likes living musicians (Benedict mostly did Mozart) 
I was once told by a priest that the best part about being a Jesuit was that there was no actual requirement that you believe in Gawd.
Maybe Bill Donahue will finally have that stroke he so richly deserves.

I do believe that the Pope does own a motorcycle.
I love Patti Smith, her music, but much more for who she is. A real human being always reminding us that we need to be putting people first, above politics and money.
If you ever get a chance see her documentary “Dream of Life” that all comes across so very well without her even having to talk about it.

Boy, I never would have imagined, listening to ¨Easter¨ in 1978, that someday I’d see a video of Patti Smith singing it in front of a full orchestra at a Vatican sponsored Christmas concert in Rome.
