Good God (no pun intended)! I can just hear the wingnut noise machine get going on that one! Better buy earplugs, folks, because the whining is going to be excruciatingly loud and at a ‘C’ above high ‘C’ level.

What about the evils of money? I forgot the Church is all in, in that game.

Amen to that Padre…

Asked about all that gold surrounding him, the Pontif replied: “Wait. What? Uh…gotta go…”

Pretty soon he’s going to be branded a Catholic Communist with discussions of equality, humbleness, and austerity.

Tweetum Novarum. . . . .

The aphorism is “The LOVE of money is the root of evil” - Cupiditas radix malorum est. Money itself is a commodity only.

I referenced the evils of money not its function in commerce. More to my point, absolute power corrupts absolutely no matter how short and sweet the statement.

Whoa!

Class warfare straight from the sovereign pontiff! Dontcha forget them saintlike job creators, Trump and friends, your Holiness!

Gandhi may have liked this Christian.

Well said, and very much needed. Not everyone is like most of those who post here. For those who have a peripheral acquaintance with the world around them (except for Pop Culture), these are VERY important words.

Like it! Very similar to the quote from the Bible “The love of money is the root of all evil.”

Pope Francis just expanded a bit on the Bible quote.

Wonder if Pope Francis is planning on addressing Congress anytime soon, John Boehner invited him to do so, I so hope he accepts.
