Francis George is from a missionary order, and from the start he treated Chicago’s Catholics like heathens and heretics. Good riddance.
If this new guy is anything like Joe Bernadin, he’ll do well.

Congratulations to Fr. Michael Pfleger who has built St. Sabina into a transformative parish of people who work tirelessly to serve and protect those within their community and beyond.
Fr. Pfleger, thanks to the love and devotion of his parishioners, has survived the machinations of those who wished to yank him from his position. When Bishop Cupich is installed as Chicago’s Archbishop, St. Sabina will finally have someone who appreciates and supports their good works instead of a leadership who seems intent on crippling the church’s commitment to serving the poor and disenfranchised.

How hard it must be to be so torn. He is against same sex couples but for kindness to them? How does that even work? (it’s politics in religion and they don’t mix well)
Same with abortion, against it but for the aborter.
These are not middle of the road, fence sitting issues. God’s children are everyone are they not? Jesus loves the children of the world, red and yellow, black and white, but not gay or from some other form of Christianity?
How can Catholicism even justify being some separate form of Christianity? There is just Christianity and one belief that is the connection of each human to his/her maker. There is not an our type of Christianity is superior to your type and we impose human rules on what we like or dislike.
