“I hope you will be safe when you have to get in front of the camera at
The Late Show and survive as yourself after dropping your protective
cloak as a pompous blowhard," Kurtz said.
As opposed to me, Howard Kurtz, a bonafide, pompous blowhard and not merely a pretend one.
From one pompous blowhard to another apparently.
When the come-backs write themselves, it’s time to hang it up Howie.
If anyone knows about being a pompous blowhard…it’s Howey!
Obviously Howie’s knowledge of the media apparently doesn’t encompass Dan Quayle and Murphy Brown.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it!
What a maroon!!!
At least FOX appropriately labelled (in their text) Colbert a “comic” instead of a “news anchor”.
Once again, rather than letting it drop, these wingers open themselves up to a far more devastating comeback.
Kurtz is a buffoon if he thinks that directly addressing Colbert or Stewart is going to work out for him or any of the other idiot fake journalists on Fox News. It’s this kind of fake outrage stupidity that keeps Colbert in business. Bring it on Kurtz, you twit.
And we all saw how well it went for Jim Cramer when he decided to take on Stewart. So clearly, going after Colbert was a brilliant idea!
Still waiting for Kurtz to drop his protective cloak as a pompous blowhard …
“I hope you will be safe . . .” ? What is this, some veiled threat? Typical Fox commentary with a nothing of substance to say so we are left with nothing but fear, hate and conspiracy theories.
They are such suckers. It almost defies belief that they allow themselves to get sucked in every single time. Looking forward to this year’s war on Christmas.
“It’s about time someone took on Stephen Colbert,” wrote Kurtz. “This guy—a fake anchor if ever there was one—has been maligning hard-working journalists for too long. Journalists like me.”
Howie, not only is Colbert a “fake anchor/fake journalist”, he’s so much more. It would be far more accurate to call him the Nation’s court jester, and I’m sure he would gladly agree. And the fruit basket is on the way for giving him material for at least 3 more segments!
I guess the pompous bloviators at Fox don’t know the difference between what they do and satire. Maybe they are right, maybe they are doing brilliant satire and we just haven’t realized it.
The state of journalism today, a Clown and Comedian competing for attention.
The inability to detect humor or likely even laugh? I’m calling my shot: Asperger Syndrome, with a big dose of megalomania.
I think in the same segment Howie claimed that even “liberal” columnists like Ruth Marcus and (can’t remember the other one) are criticizing President Obama about…
“…has been maligning hard-working journalists for too long. Journalists like me.”
The hardest working man in Faux business.
Don’t these guys know what happens when you heckle a comedian? I can’t wait to see…
