Discussion: Pompeo, Mattis Irked By Bolton Cutting Back On Cabinet Meetings

has several senior officials concerned about whether the White House is exuding a cohesive message on key issues.

See, that’s like stealth funny. You can’t see it, then wham! Very nice.

Maybe they will eventually get tired of getting irked off…

The President’s National Security Adviser apparently thinks Cabinet meetings are a threat to national security. Or more likely, they are a threat to the President’s personal ego and vaulted opinion of himself.

You wonder if they’ve ever read even one of the hundreds of articles on what we’ll laughingly call Trump’s management style. Chaos is on brand.

P.S. Could we not do that thing where you do a quote changing “management” to “mismanagement” and adding FIFY? Man, that gets old.

Johnny wants to manipulate the orange puppet on his own. And he wants nobody with the slightest semblance of rational thought interfering with his string pulling.

Bolton has irked before and will likely irk again. So this is OT but that’s exactly the point: Wouldn’t it be nice to have an open thread where you could talk about lakes on Mars or whatever seems interesting at the moment? Oceans on Europa is fascinating, but this is next door. Might be critters! Anyway just a thought.

Boys, if you want to ‘smooth the bubble’ you’ll have to rid yourselves of the giant orange pustule that created it.

Gee, one could possibly conclude that Bolton is a megalomaniac? /s

Isn’t it COS Kelly’s job to set up cabinet meetings? Why is the NSA running the show?

Bolton is mailing it in. He has been on the Russian-Gulf Arab state gravy train for a few years now all the way down to the Booty-ina connections, as he spoke at a Russian ‘gun org’ event that she was involved in. He has Trump’s ear because they are part of the same corruption.

Bolton is short circuiting these meetings so that Trump isn’t constrained from undertaking further acts of treason and that he can plan directly with Trump on other matters of corruption.

The more i think about this, perhaps Bolton is reducing the number of cabinet meetings in the interests of national security. If T rumpp’s cabinet thinks rationally and in the country’s best interests, that will only cofuse the Dotard and piss him off. If that happens, who knows what he would do!? He could literally blow up the WH with a single fart, and a match.

ALL they have TO DO is follow @therealdonaldtrump on TWITTER AND they’ll get all the policy they NEED.

Bolton is conceding that more principals meetings would be little more than a collective waste of time. They would only “smooth the bubble” until Trump extemporized, changed his mind, or forgot the story line at which point the entire cadre would be talking in opposition to the new and improved official position. As things currently stand there will always be at least one person who is saying something similar to Trump.

That’s the beauty of his mismanagement style. (@mattinpa made me do it )

Yeah, but Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows are not cabinet members.

Bolton is acting on Dumptys orders. All those meetings were annoying since he had to pretend to pay attention, plus it was interfering with his nap time.

Why? Buy a parrot, glue on a fake mustache, teach it to say “Kill 'em all!” and you pretty much have his contribution covered.

Hmmmm, if Bolton and trump wanted to activate the military for some nefarious reason I suppose Mattis could just say, “Sorry boys, we didn’t get that memo at the nonexistent meeting, fuck off”.
