Brilliant. Almost the same population as Iraq, but with twice the land area, and much of that mountainous. The country teetering on the verge of civil war; and most of the surrounding countries have bad memories of U.S. intervention on behalf of dictators and corporate interests. And if Putin now decides that Donnie is no longer his BFF, will he start to drop documents on him? Furthermore, if Venezuela and Iran are now totally barred from the petroleum market, what will happen to the price of gasoline (the one economic indicator that most Trump supporters care about)?
From Putinās view, there is one thing better than Trump in the White House ā¦ a United States in complete conflict, with 40% of the people believing that whomever is elected in 2020 is illegitimate. And he is close to achieving that goal.
