Discussion: Polls: Dems Hold Narrow Leads In Key Missouri, Nevada Senate Races

The Kavanaugh shitshow surely can’t be helping those numbers. Now it’s down to the calculus, especially for Heller. Vote to confirm and Kavanaugh wins - does he lose women? Vote to confirm and Kavanaugh loses anyway - looks weak. Vote against Kavanaugh, win or lose - he loses the Trumpiots, especially if Kavanaugh loses by 3 votes or less.

Man, he’s got to be on his knees praying for Kavanaugh to drop out himself and alternately calling John Kelly and pleading with him to withdraw Kavanaugh. Even then he looks bad!

This is what I’ve been thinking about: isn’t it better to pull him so Mitch can spare these senators not having to vote? They’ll of course blame the Democrats anyways. If they hold the Senate, they’ll confirm another cretin.

Then there’s this…

The GOP is gonna need bigger paper towels to clean up the mess Donnie made.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló endorses Florida Democrats Nelson, Gillum

The governor’s endorsement could give a boost to the Democrats among the state’s growing ranks of Puerto Rican voters.

Won’t matter if Dems sit it out.

Sen. Claire McCaskill has a reputation for being strong in the final stretch of the campaign. History would seem to suggest that Hawley is going to have a hard time getting past her now.

Or bring Kavanaugh back with a flourish - “Tada! He’s now been cleared by out extensive vetting process and new, improved FBI investigation! Suck eggs, Demon-rats!”

And the only way to stop this madness is for everyone else to get out and vote these drongos out before they can do any more damage…

I’m still not allowing myself a daydream about the senate quite yet. But still…

Yep, but Kav dropping out is their very best option. Unfortunately for them, Kav has been steeped in GOP politics his entire life. Narcissism, arrogance, egotism, selfishness, and, most of all, entitlement are hardwired into his brain. He won’t drop out because this is supposed to be his and he believes no one has the right to take it away from him. Man, I hope someone has a camera on him if/when his nomination fails.

He’ll have a keg nearby, that’s for sure.

Watch us blow it in New Jersey.

I live in Missouri and McCaskill has been on the air for several weeks with good ads, but for about 4 or 5 days, (I live near St. Louis, so he could be airing ads out state that I don’t see) I have started to see Hawley ads on air. Hawley’s seems like general ads, not regarding any proposed policy. McCaskill is pushing heath care, showing that Hawley had filed a law suit to allow insurance companies to increase costs of pre-existing conditions which she talks about her own cancer. Also, she has some Border Patrol Union members say that no one can claim that McCaskill is weak on Border Security. She also has an ad that starts with Hawley talking about people getting into office, than just working to get a better office, which Hawley is actually doing. She has good ads, but Hawley will soon have more ads that may cause his points to rise. Also, every ad that I have seen of McCaskill, she has approved the message, for Hawley there are many ads but he does not approve the message so there are more outside money coming into Missouri for him, and they probably will get crazier as we get closer to the election. They seem to just tell Missouri that McCaskill is bad, Hawley good. One states that McCaskill is remote from Missouri issues, which is odd, because all she is doing is addressing Missouri issues, Hawley is the one that is getting ads from outside money.

If there is even a sniff of Russian or Trump Traitor interference in ANY of these elections there needs to be hell to pay. I don’t trust these parasite right wing pukes farther than I can throw their fat asses.

Outside of St. Louis, KC, and a couple of college towns, it’s Duck Dynasty all the way.

Good numbers for the Dems. I can’t see Heller getting above 45%. I don’t think Hawley gets above 47%.

I like Rosen to win 50-45 and McCaskill to win 49-47.

Well Hawley promised not to run for any other office while he was currently in MO government, so right there he’s a liar.
There have been outside groups’ ads bashing Claire so maybe Hawley trying to keep his hands clean?

I agree. Claire has been underestimated more than once. Also Hawley has been tarred by NOT going after Eric Greitens when it was obvious the Ex-Governor was clearly suspected in multiple campaign finance and sexual assault allegations. An AG needs to be apolitical and not cover-up for wrong-doing by a member of his own party. He flunked this test badly.

Rosen should best Heller if for no other reason, he’s got nothin’ to run on. None of them do. (Well, except for fear and hate.) Synema strikes me as a strong Dem and McSally has run so far to the right that she can’t come back anytime soon. I really do believe these are two seats we can pick up.

That woman is a BEAST as a campaigner and that is a big compliment. Oh, did you see Tex Gov Greg Abbott said the Beto O’Rourke is creating a ‘cult’ following I guess the 50,000+ people who showed up for the Willie Nelson/Beto rally scared 'em. I wonder how many DJT will get for HIS ‘ginormous’ rally later this month? I wonder if they’ll try to fill Texas Stadium or something?
