Discussion: Poll: Solid Majority Wants Trump To Fix Obamacare Instead Of Sabotaging It

Ahhhhh, those same 30% morons keep popping up in every poll.

After a careful analysis of the poll and its methodology, I am compelled to come to one overarching conclusion:

Fuck Republicans.

"“Dems should call me to fix!”

First one that does should be pilloried. LITERALLY. This is a game of chicken Trump CANNOT win and they MUST MUST MUST stand their ground.

Yes, I’m saying that people are going to have to suffer this bullshit for a little while. SOMETHING has to make them fucking learn. SOMETHING has to get them woke.

I agree. Let him own it. Let the blood be on his hands.

Calling him is not the answer.

Getting his hands off the wheel, and off the phone, and off the button, and into a nice set of tiny custom-fitted handcuffs, is the answer.

Talk about pot calling kettle…The abomination is about to complain that Iran is a terrorist state that requires him to toss a grenade into the international system, after his late night decision to destabilize 1/6th of the US economy and rip health care away from millions of Americans.

“Who’s the biggest terrorist? I am, fuckers! Me!!!”

It’s the wrong majority - it’s the real majority.

He only cares about the fake majority he thinks he has.

The vox populi is only an annoying gnat to fuckingmoron. And yes, let’s demand, demand I tell you, Congress step in and stop him from destroying ACA.

If people expect Donnie Dimwit to do anything to improve “Obamacare”, they’re not just barking up the wrong tree, they’re in the wrong goddam forest. If Obama made it, Trump’s only interest is in breaking it.

It’s up to Congress to fix this by passing legislation to appropriate the funds to make these payments. Then Trump cannot legally withhold them.

But aren’t they the so-called “Moral Majority”? Or am I just having more acid flashbacks?

I don’t want to be a grammar Nazi, but this one error keeps occurring in TPM news items, and it bugs the shit out of me:

Intact is a single word. It should not be used thusly: “60 percent of respondents said they want to keep the payments in tact.”

I know we all make errors, but, JFC, these people write for a living!

“A solid majority of the public – 71 percent – wants to see President Donald Trump make Obamacare work…”

To be fair, that number drops substantially when most of them die from treatable illness.

I believe W and Nixon’s final approval numbers were down in the mid 20s. What if, due in large part to increased polarization, 30% is the absolute floor? I think one could make a solid argument that we’ve not been more divided since the Civil War. It stands to reason then that the two parties are even further entrenched and far less likely to abandon their respective president. So, 30-35% approval today might actually have been 25-30% ten years ago.

Sometimes the writing and the headlines bring out our inner editors. Happens all the time to me.

Not to mention the return of scurvy, pellagra and rickets.

If Trump gets away with this sabotage of Obamacare, it will no longer be Obamacare, and he can’t call it that. I suggest he call it “TrumpDon’tCare”.

Own it, Republicans. This is all yours. You own it. All of you.
And Democrats better say it very clear, very simply, very loudly and very often - Republicans have taken away health care from all of those who need it, except the very rich.

Well, a solid majority didn’t want idiot Trump as president either, yet here we are. That solid majority should try voting.
