Rupert! Roger! Whatever you’re doing down there you stop it right now!

(Thought things were getting just a little too quiet with those two. Must have been out of my mind to trust that NBC chit to keep an eye on things.)

Good. I hope to see this trend continue. Fuck Cruz.

At first I thought that said ‘Back Pain’.

Dear TPM,
When discussing polling and its methodology it would be really helpful if you include whether the pollster only called land lines.

Thanks

but
but just yesterday the national political press corpse were all marveling at rafael’s ascendance that was no doubt leading to his eventual solidification of being the gop’s main man
all based on one flimsy poll.
it was interesting watching/reading that commentary yesterday. almost like if they said it long enough, people would come to believe it.
the (former) power brokers are getting extremely nervous about the trump/sanders gains. kind of makes me wonder what major disruption they’ll foment just to show the hoi polloi how dangerous it is to put the country in the hands of such anti-establishment people
will it be the banks or a war

It’s starting to appear inevitable that Trump will be the Republican nominee. I would guess that, barring a meltdown of some sort, he’ll have it all but wrapped up by March 9. After that, all Republican primaries will be little more than a formality as long as he continues to perform as well as the polls are indicating he will.

I vote TMP quit posting any articles about polls cause they stink. :hankey:

Speaking of stinkin’ is that a picture of Donald after smelling the finger he just pulled out of his ass?

At this point Trump could convene a panel of experts and task them with crafting the most damning, insulting, idiotic, inflammatory stream of rhetoric for him to recite at his next rally. Some mixture of toxic depravity that left no segment of the electorate untouched. And the next week would reflect a ten point bump in his polling. I don’t think short of resigning Trump can screw this up.

I did too! I thought it was a poll on Doan’s Pills.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

And this is proportional to the number of EmoProgs who feel backing Saint Bernie is a safe bet, because in their minds, no one really will vote for Trump, so let’s go for the Obama reboot and vanquish Hillary again.

With the Half Baked Alaskan, the pain is a little lower down the back!

I am sure that John Bush the Acronym ÂżJeb? will set a new record for money spent per vote. I am wondering whether John Bush can create a path to the nomination by spending the most money and losing every primary?

You have to give the Republican voters credit though. They are able to see through the power grab by the sleazy Bush family. They are supporting the Face of God, a Cuban robot Tickle-me-Elmo, and a sleepy Black guy more than John Bush the Acronym.

Congratulations to Donald Trump for erasing Teddy Cruz’s apparent rise in the polls. Teddy stint at the top was short-lived.

If Trump follows through and wins the SC GOP primary as polls suggest, it would be a significant moment in US politics: a Yankee with a strong NY accent wins a deep South primary after castigating the Bush family, calling them out as liars and incompetents, and for rather boldly indicating that South Carolinians were fooled and made a mistake by supporting Bush II. It could be the watershed moment when a lot of working class white conservatives feel free to accept that Bush and the GOP establishment misled the country into a disaster and are responsible for the economic situation in which many find themselves. I believe that opens up real possibilities for Democratic candidates across the board to advocate for and win on a progressive agenda. It could be the end of 'Murica and the beginning of a real ‘Morning in AMERICA’.

Wasn’t there a headline on a story last night on TPM about how Cruz finally pulled ahead of Trump in a national poll? The poll watching is really reaching ridiculous heights this year.

Also interesting to note that the only person who ever came close to Trump in this poll tracker graph is Carson! It’s like some kind of weird dream that just doesn’t make any sense or follow any logic at all.
