Discussion: Poll: Scott Walker Has A Re-election Fight On His Hands

Discussion for article #223024

Burke has to get more unlikely voters out to vote. In other words, the usual Democratic problem. What this really tells us is the trend is in the right direction and the race is winnable.

"The picture is somewhat better among likely voters, the new poll found. Forty-eight percent said they support Walker… "

Better? Is this an uncredited AP article?

Anyone doing a “likely voter” poll this far out is cooking the books. They are worthless until closer to the election. Labor day is a good start for them.

Word! All of these polls, all of these likely voter screens are based almost entirely on the shit show that was 2010. Its as though pollsters and pundits don’t believe we could possibly return to previous Democratic voting levels. SMDH

We, the Mary Burke’s operatives in her campaign offices have their work cut out for us.Wanker will win the money war. Dems will win the community organizer campaign. It got Obama elected twice.

Good Now GOTV…

Walleyed little walker has screwed the people, unions, families, schools and misappropriated funds to make his record look good! Only created 23,000 jobs when he promised 250,000…Aside from him being owned by the kocked up Bros!

Uh Oh. Guess the bloom that never was is off the rose.

Expect dirty tricks from the Walker camp from now on. It’s the one thing Snotty Scotty is good at.

This is a good time to bring back Poll Smoking with Dave Gorman.

The Wisconsin governor’s between Democrat Mary Burke and…

The picture is somewhat better among likely voters…

Josh, will you please ask the writers to copy edit each other’s work? There are some important words missing… like “governor’s RACE” and “somewhat better FOR WALKER among…”

The poll’s margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The survey was conducted from May 15 to 18 among 805 Wisconsin registered voters.voters. Frankly, I always suggest trashing any poll of registered voters and under 1800 voters, so this poll is pretty useless

Umm, errrr, well, uhhh,

Better?

That wouldn’t be my choice of wording.

Walker is about as horrendous a politician as there is and how he can sleep at night escapes my comprehension. When I couple “Better” and “Scott Walker” I get gutters full of excrement and prison bars and Orange Jumpsuits and living in a cardboard box imagery.

But maybe that’s just me.

“…Scott Walker’s failures…”

Well, he seized more power for the government, so conservatives are happy.

The bastard’s going to win. Too many corporate royalists, grooming him for 2024.

flagged for extinction…

Once again, the people of Wisconsin have a chance to rid themselves of this piece of work Walker.
They had a chance once, but they mucked it up. They have no one to blame but themselves. It will be interesting to see if the people out there can gather up enough sand and enough guts to really take charge of change, or on the other hand, continue to moan and carp about how bad things are out there, where the self same people are “responsible” (Isn’t that a hoot?) for things being mucked up in the first place. I have no sympathy of the people of Wisconsin largely because they got large, steaming platefuls of exactly what they asked for, and then found they didn’t like it, and couldn’t send it back.
Will things be different come Election Day? I dunno. But I do know that, as always, people will get what they ask for, and having asked for it, they have no right to complain after the fact. They had their chance and their choice.
Will they blow it again? We’ll see, but after having seen this fiasco play out, my money is on yes, they will blow it again.
Oh well. There are still 49 states that matter, Right?

Assuming he does not get indicted …
