Discussion for article #227752
Unbelievable - Rick Scott is without any redeeming qualities - yet a multitude of Floridians will act in the polar opposite of their own best interest & support him.
The only explanation is Florida.
Crist isn’t particularly popular in FL either, which is a big part of this. I am actually surprised that the undecideds aren’t much bigger to be honest, because everyone I talk to from FL is saying pretty much the same thing…they don’t like either candidate.
We must vote this sock puppet out!!
If Scott wins, Florida gets what they deserve.
That’s discouraging. That really is. Wish the Big Dog would go down there and rally the troops.
Well, it is FL in an off-year. If Democrats want it, they are simply going to have to come out and vote.
Democrats will become more interested the closer we get to the elections and Republicans will lose ground in polls nationwide.
I hate Charlie Crist for this. Jebus Frist
Wait, Crist was leading for a long time. Is this another ‘likely voters’ deal?
I thought Crist was a pretty successful Governor. Why is he so unpopular?
SurveyUSA did many of its polling via Robodialing to landlines with some supplemental cell phone calls in some states in the last Presidential election of 2012 according to Nate Silver. Don’t know how much this matters since I’m not a statistician, but without methodology noted I really couldn’t give a shit. The online poll at WFLA gives Crist 50% and Scott 35% at this hour for what its worth…course this includes people most likely not necessarily living in FL. The SurveyUSA poll has a margin of error of 4.2%…That’s alot, isn’t it?
Has Crist gone on the air yet? Last I knew, he realized he’d never be able to match Scott’s money, so he hoped to keep it close until the end of the election season, and advertise in earnest in the closing weeks. Assuming he’s not on the air yet, he’s actually in good shape.
Even if you have to hold your noses while you vote a former Sarah Palin acolyte in. (If Crist was running on his record, would you vote for him?) Glad my choice is between Corbett and Wolf.
Message to Florida: secede already.
I have noticed that the SurveyUSA polls this cycle consistently show a Republican advantage that few or no other poll shows.
Also, if they’re leaning heavily on landlines, they’re completely excluding the very populations most likely to vote Democratic. I can honestly say that I don’t know anyone under 40 who still has a landline. And I don’t know anyone under 50 who actually answers calls from numbers they don’t recognize.
Powder for Gubner!
Damn!
I hate poll dancing…
How %$&*#@ stupid are voters in Florida??
Unfreakin’ believable.
