Discussion: Poll: Nearly Half Would Blame Trump, Republicans For Gov't Shutdown

To discuss striking a deal?!?

WTF! Didn’t Chiselin’ Trump already strike down a deal that Schumer negotiated with Republicans?

Do you mean the one with Graham and Durbin about DACA or this one last November?

In a joint statement Tuesday afternoon, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said they would still meet with congressional Republicans to attempt to forge a budget deal and avoid a possible government shutdown.

“Given that the President doesn’t see a deal between Democrats and the White House, we believe the best path forward is to continue negotiating with our Republican counterparts in Congress instead,” Pelosi and Schumer said in the statement.

Trump. Quite the nondeal-maker.

Their attendance isn’t important. Trump goes with whoever talks to him last. In this case that will be John Kelly or Stephen Miller.

Well, Trump wants to go to Mar-a-Lago tout suite, so maybe he’ll make a deal with Schumer just to get out of DC faster.

There are many, many fine people among the Nazis Republicans.

I have a hunch a deal will be reached, but we will be back here in 26 days for the next round of Crisis Government–American Style.

Yeah, temporary deal makes the most sense considering the people involved.

Great ratings and wild number of clicks. Americans don’t have anything else to do anyway.

Opps! Yeah, that’s the deal I meant. I confused Schumer with Durbin.

The problem is that Trump thinks that any deal must end in a winner and a loser. So how can Schumer convince Trump that he (Schumer) is the loser if the deal includes CHIP funding and DACA?

Susan Sarandon clocked in at 2.2%.

Half would blame?

Give it your best shot, outfoxya will try to help but that will only entertaine 35% at most if not less as your base hobbles off with both feet up there asses.

As Matthew Chapman succinctly put it:

Who ended DACA? Republicans.

Who put off funding CHIP for 4 months? Republicans.

Who rejected a deal to restore DACA? Republicans.

Who put CHIP in the CR to try to force it to pass without DACA? Republicans?

Who caused the shutdown? Republicans

It’s that simple.

You know George you can hold TWO opinions at once. People will die AND maybe MORE people will die if I vote for this bill…not so much of a ‘shift’.

Yes, I know. Democrats can be “for” things before they are “against” them. Just like John Kerry and the Iraq War, right?

Personally, I don’t like Democrats who waffle. We need to be utterly united against Trump and the Republicans.

Too funny. Love the humor.

Republicans are the party of shut downs. That’s what they do. That’s their history. They own it.
