Discussion: Poll: Most Americans Expect Clinton, Trump To Face Off In General Election

Do most Americans also think the sky is blue? I mean is there any way that Hillary or Trump could not be the nominees?

I think the other 15% went to Trump University.

I was really gobsmacked by the latest announcement from Bernie and the Sanders’ campaign that he & they would contest the nomination if it is Hillary. I thought he had accepted that he would not win the nomination and would work to get his ideas incorporated into the convention. Instead, a scorched earth finish to the campaign. Thanks a bunch, Bernie. More ammunition for Trump to use against Hillary and Trump has a lot of angry followers who would be happy to be joined by angry Bernie supporters.

Stop it, Bernie!

Well now, apparently, we will have to go through a contested convention to find out.

Good luck with that Mr. Berns, palling around with the establishment.

Anyone see Rachel’s takedown of Bernie tonight? He’s lost her support. I suspect in the coming days you are going to start to hear more prominent Democrats coming out against Sanders,

I expect Donald Trump to make Republicans regret that Rick Lazio isn’t their nominee.

The average of 7 polls shows Clinton leads trump by 7 points at the moment.

I expect that gap to increase by November.

Against Sanders the gap is a lot wider.

What’s really funny is that sanders who as everyone knows is a super delegate himsif is bitching because he wants the super delegates voting for him instead. So super delegates vote Sanders, Good! Super delegates vote Clinton ,BAD !Super BAD!!

Damned tflick. Now I have to stay up and watch the rerun.

85% think it will be Trump versus Hillary, and 15% can’t do math.

This poll result makes sense. Most Americans can do basic math… Unfortunately it seems there are candidates on both sides of the aisle who can’t.

Rachel’s trajectory is pretty much the same as most progressives. Not surprised, and hopefully a lot more progressive voices will strive to convince Sanders to wind down gracefully.
