Sadly there are a handful of Republican ideologues, billionaires and radio hosts who revel in all this damn political tribalism and don’t want Republicans and Democrats working together on anything.

Really? I think it’s rather fucking simple:

  1. Black POTUS did it;

  2. Dems get to take credit for it; and’

  3. Both 1 and 2 are anathema to the radicalized white nationalist methbilly GOP base.

I admire the spirit of bipartisanship, but what is there to negotiate here?

The Republicans aren’t interested in improving the healthcare system, they just want to take away Obama’s accomplishment and fund a big tax cut.
