Discussion for article #243662
I am saddened that it is only 57%
Iām rather surprised that many oppose it.
Hey, 43%! Boo!
Youāre colossal wimps, just like your idol, Trump.
Rest of US decline to be afraid, very afraid.
Seventy-five percent of Democrats and 55 percent of independents said they opposed the ban.
Which means that 25% of Democrats have been affected by the fear mongering from the right.
A good 45% of where I live is Hispanic and 5-10% is Muslim. I hear a good deal of anti-Trump sentiment (to put it kindly). The local Muslim community is keeping a very low profile out of fear of backlash from low information idiots.
The NBC/WSJ poll showed broad support for the ban among Republicans ā 42 percent supported the ban and 36 opposed it.
Fellow countrymen, global citizens, leaders around the world, we hereby present in all its putrid glory the unvarnished state of todayās Republican party.
Exactly. I mean, Iām certainly relieved that a majority oppose the ban. But the fact that 43% DON"T oppose it is hardly cause for celebration!
What a shameful percentage. This is America. It should be 100%.
My worry here is that āAll Americansā includes non-citizen immigrants, the vast majority of whom will sensibly oppose the proposed ban. Iād like to see the numbers for actual voters.
A poll released Thursday showed that 57 percent of 495 respondents opposed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumpās proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States.
Since when is 42 percent ābroad supportā? Particularly since 35% oppose it? So the margin of support in the Republicans generally is 6%,
Itās disgraceful enough that Jerde doesnāt need to exaggerate: The headline doesnāt read broad opposition to Trumpās ban.
Wow that high? Iām surprised. Americans have evolved a bit, havenāt they?
