I have a friend who drives a car owned by the federal government for her federal government job.
She says that while driving that car for work, she can stop and go into a convenience store to get a sandwich for her lunch, but she’s not allowed to pick up milk or bread for her home at the same time.
She says she’d have to go home and get her own car to do that. That’s the rule for Fed employees in government OWNED vehicles. Maybe it’s different for hired private planes.
A true man of the people. Nothing swampy about this at all.

All these trips sound like boondoggles to me. None of them seemed so urgent that he had to fly a private jet, and not commercial. The trip where he flew a day early for his conference says that he had time to fly commercial. It seems to me that Price abused travel funds. He should resign or pay the money back to the government.

Price is also a big hypocrite for bashing the use of private jets and how they are abuse of tax funds. And yet, once he obtains a cabinet position, that is the only way he rolls, on private jets using taxpayer dollars.
At the minimum, he should have arranged a three-some flight with Mnuchin and the gold-digger…
If you have enough time to do personal business during your government paid travel, you have enough time to fly commercial.
