Not, accidental. Period.

I can’t tell you why.

Domestic incident a few hours earlier? I’d say police are still putting this together. Could be a murder or suicide. Could also be a pissed off lady grabbing stuff out of the closet, or she was grabbing the gun to go shoot his ass, etc. But I am sure police are not done investigating this.

Perhaps a ā€˜Victim of Love’? In any case, there’s going to be a ā€˜Heartache Tonight.’

How very sad.

NRA: At least their home was safe from invasion.

Police say Randy Meisner was cooperative throughout the investigation. Officials say police had responded to the home earlier Sunday and took a domestic violence incident report.

So, earlier on Sunday a domestic violence report was taken, and later this woman accidentally shoots herself in the head, because an item in the gun case shifted and caused the gun to fire?

Nope–nothing suspicious here.

No kidding. For that to be true, the gun had to have the safety off, a shell in the chamber, and be somehow pointed right at her head at the exact moment when it ā€œaccidentallyā€ went off. Highly unlikely, but not impossible, since people are remarkably stupid around firearms.

Both post-Meisner tunes. Fail.

Also, AP fail, again. Meisner, as with his later replacement, was ā€œstolenā€ from Poco. Frey and Henley were the co-founders of the group and had worked with each other for years prior to forming the band.

Don’t ask me why I know this.

That plus firearms are remarkably unsafe (since no standard product safety rules apply).

guitar cases are known for inadvertent turning of tuning pegs…

I suppose we should expect gun cases to inadvertently sqeexe the trigger?

And, no product/manufacturer/retailer liability either–the NRA Feels The Bern, and meanwhile, gun violence victims feel the burn.

He done it. How do I know? Because OJ hadn’t even gotten into his Bronco when I said " He done it."

Or maybe A Certain Kind of Fool or Desperado? Guilty of the Crime?

Leaving bullets in a gun is not a smart thing to do.This is not how one handles a weapon. When you are finished with your weapon you remove bullets and check to see none are in chamber, etc.
No gun safety here was used…another person is now dead.

I live in Maine. We love guns.We also respect them and use them safely. And we remove ammo.Store the gun in one place…the ammo in another. And if children live in home or come to home bullets are kept locked up with an adult having the key.

I just can’t get over that numbskull looking right down the barrel of the gun he was having trouble with. What the fuck was he expecting to see? His maker?

At least guitars were made flame retardant after all of those repeated spontaneous combustion incidents during Jimi Hendrix performances…
