Discussion: Police: Vegas Shooter Not Necessarily Neo-Nazis, But Saw Police As Nazis

Discussion for article #223705

“FALSE FLAG!!”

Seriously, this has been the response from the brainiacs who inhabit the underbelly of comment sections everywhere.

They outright refuse to accept the outcome of their own eliminationist rhetoric. Sad, cowardly little men and women.

One of the things that we believe at this point with the swastika is
that we don’t necessarily believe that they are white supremacists or
associated with the Nazi movement," he said.

That’s O.K. “Barking mad right wing sociopath nut-jobs influenced by the right-wing hate machine” works for me

Well, duh! As surely as day follows night, every episode of right wing terrorism, like every mass shooting, will be followed by three things:

  1. Contentions by the nutbaggers and ammosexuals that No True Patriot/Responsible Gun Owner would do such a thing.

  2. Contentions that the whole thing is a made up False Flag Operation by Obummer/the Men in Black/ACORN; and,

  3. An obscenely, gut churningly, offensive missive from Sarah Palin, just as the story is starting to fade which both viciously slanders liberals/the media/Others while claiming the mantle of victimhood for herself and, if she’s feeling generous, all Real Americans.

They love full-on Nazi identifiers and celebrate symbols of inhuman uses of power but hate the overbearing Nazi cops.

This is called: Nazi adolescence.

Their signature event, what they knew would be a lasting memory of their actions - were to leave a Gadsden flag. Out of everything else in their lives THIS is what they wanted to be known for. The whole Nazi angle seems to being pushed by the whole “They were brought down by a concealed carrier who bravely stood up to them” group

So I guess according to the latest right-wing spin, this lunatic targeted police officers because he thought they were socialists?

Hmmmm…I wonder who reinforced the view that the police are Nazis?
(Clive Bundy and his right-wing supporters, I’m looking at YOU!)

Sooo . . . they were self-loathing Nazis?

Does it really matter? This attempt to figure out why these nuts do these things always ends up being pointless. They aren’t deep-thinkers with a lot going on upstairs. They were very small people with very small ideas. More importantly, they were murderers.

It’s clear that they were rightwing wackos gobbling up the claptrap from the right as quickly as they could. However, determining whether or not they were neo-Nazis or just plain old rightwing nutjobs is largely and exercise of semantics.

I’ve got NOW with Alex Wagner on in the background. She’s talking with Joy Ann Reid and playing a recording of Alex Jones’ broadcast today. This is exactly what he did. Of all the cruel things they believe this is one of the worst. It denies the existence of those that were murdered, denies the excruciating pain of their loved ones, and denies the horror and fear of those who witnessed these acts. There’s something incredibly hateful about that.

The right wing thinks that Nazis were/are socialists.

They were rejected by their “patriots” @ the bundy ranch b/c he was a felon. The had to show those that rejected them that they were “patriots”…

Ignorance + Hate…

Unfortunately the population with these two traits is increasing. Expect more of these “isolated incidents.”

Maybe they’re Fox-bots – which is worse.

In right-wing world, EVERYONE is a Nazi.

When I said it’s inevitable, I meant it. The idea of the “false flag operation” is deeply embedded in the Wingnut worldview. Every thing that happens that tends to bolster the belief that they shouldn’t be allowed to own a private arsenal is just the government trying to fake up an excuse to take their guns away from them.
