Discussion: Police: Unarmed Black Teen Shot, Killed By Police After Altercation

Discussion for article #226189

This is a better headline. What was the kid accused of doing? Running away unarmed is never a reason to shoot, just curious as to who the police thought they were shooting at.

Don’t police carry tazers or other non-deadly defensive tools?

No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege. No such thing as white privilege.

Perhaps these black men need to start Standing Their Ground more. Police officers do these killings because they know they can get away with it. Isn’t it funny that these types of killings never happen to young white men or white women.

What happened to Billy clubs or flashlights? How about mace or tasers? Why shoot to kill? This is just an extension of gun mania.
Whatever the thinking was, this is why cops aren’t trusted and why they have such a shit reputation.

I’ve been around lots of cops and the occasional cool one will tell you that their buddies are assholes. The few good apples aren’t going to fix the basket of bad ones.

Methinks there is more to this story than we have been told so far.

Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, had harsh words Saturday for authorities.

“You’re not God, you don’t get to decide when you get to take somebody from here,”

The cops were judge, jury and executioner, and the verdict was guilty of being unarmed while Black.

Jackson said police are in contact with the second person who was involved in the altercation, but that the person has not been arrested or charged and is expected to be interviewed later Sunday. Authorities aren't sure if the second person was unarmed, Jackson said.

If this second person is black, I expect him eventually to be charged with murder for being involved in a situation where someone was killed with a gun.

Did everybody read the story Josh posted about an unarmed 22 year old black man murdered by police in Walmart when they thought he had a gun?

“We was just talking. He said he was at the video games playing videos and he went over there by the toy section where the toy guns were. And the next thing I know, he said ‘It’s not real,’ and the police start shooting and they said ‘Get on the ground,’ but he was already on the ground because they had shot him,” she said, adding: “And I could hear him just crying and screaming. I feel like they shot him down like he was not even human.”

As if the story wasn’t bad enough, I just found out there was another victim not reported in the first reports:

The Greene County Coroner’s office confirmed that Williams died Tuesday. According to a release from the office, “She was apparently running from a dangerous situation inside the Walmart store when she collapsed. She was taken to Soin Medical Center where she died at 9:14 p.m.”

37 years old. Sounds like the terror caused by the police killed her too.

Bastards. They just keep getting away with murder.
