Discussion: Police: Tenn. Teen Shot Family Because He Didn't Want To Go To School

Discussion for article #246780

I won’t grow up,
I don’t want to go to school.
Just to learn to be a parrot,
And recite a silly rule.

Nice not to read about dead people for once. I guess not knowing how to use a gun is a good thing - sometimes.

Smart move, kid. You got your wish. You’ll probably never see the inside of a classroom again.

But was the gun OK?

This kid obviously has mental issues. Would be interesting to find out how he got the gun and the NRA’s explanation of why it’s essential he have it.

Another “responsible” gun owner? It’s time to repeal the second amendment.

If only grandma was packing, she’d have dropped the little turd and all would be well with the world. Everyone should know the only thing that stops a groggy teenager with a gun is an octogenarian with a Glock (snark).

He thinks school sucks? He is going to love where he is going next.

A 16-year-old boy got into an argument with his family when he didn’t want to get out of bed and go to school and he shot his grandmother, a younger sister and a 6-year-old nephew

NRA: Before anyone gets all worked up and start taking our gun away, it was all legal and totally legit. People have the right to be angry and use guns if they want as dictated in second amendment.

Iowa GOP: We just lowered the age to carry guns to anyone below 14. If that boy was in Iowa, he would have never done this as we are just very different.

go figure. there’s a school in tennessee that doesn’t teach children how to aim handguns.

The kid is 16 and his Mother has a 2 year old? Plus, multi family members living in an apartment? Is there a Dad at this location? Would make a good study for a sociologist.

Maybe 16-year olds shouldn’t have easy access to guns–lack of judgment, you know?

No. They will simply fall back on the trope of the issue is not guns but mental illness and they’d be right since the kid probably bought the gun from someone else who shouldn’t have a gun.

I will bet if the serial number is still on the gun, unlikely, it will be traced back to the owner who from whom it was stolen and never reported.

Petty criminals and the like could all do us a favor by leaving the serial numbers alone.

Like the old PS television announcement - “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s 10 o’clock. Do you know where your handgun is”

Another NRA hero.

Anybody taking bets that he doesn’t get probation, even though no one died?
