This does not sound like my alma matar, quite the opposite. Oberlin has always been a bastion of tolerance and support for the marginalized. It was an important stop on the underground RR and a leader in the Civil Rights and anti-war movements in the 1960s.
And the press response on this kind of thing seems always to be along the lines of:

I’d be curious to know what Rep. Tim Ryan (who is challenging Pelosi) would say about this incident? Does he think that this is the outgrowth of “economic insecurity”? Since he’s from OH he should know.
