Dammit I’m sick of you people, here we have the high wattage Tea Party Intelligentsia from heart of Tea-Party-stan and all you can do is mock them. These men will bend the bars of their cells with the raw power of their minds, then you’ll all be singing a different tune!! That being said, what the hell were they thinking? At first I thought the narrative was about a story of a DC politician engaged in hanky-panky while the wife was salted away in a mental facility. In a scenario like that a picture of the wife would just make Cochran more sympathetic. If they could not get hanky-panky proof then they seem to have wanted an “he-doesn’t-live-here & he-abandoned-his-wife” kind of charge. In a case like that an eerie exterior shot of the facility with allusions to the wife being kept against her will would have sufficed. Add to that a “where is Senator Cochran’s wife?” question and that might have some traction. Looks like someone is going jail for this … unavoidable now.
