Are the MO police REALLY that fucking stupid? In the age of the Internet and social media, to put out a statement like this is incredibly stupid and insulting. You send basically what are SWAT teams out to meet unarmed protesters who are pissed off because you fucked up in the first place. Do you honestly think this evasive shit is going to fly. I expect a lot less violence - and there was very little in the first place, except from the police - and a lot more protesters. Tell me, MO police, how many officers did you scrape off the ground and send to the morgue?

I guess that’s kind of like saying that the Ferguson PD has been co-opted by deadly assassins and white supremacists.

Added the Ferguson PD: “Also, demonstrations on one’s own property will not be tolerated…because you’re black.”

The optics are simply hideous for the cops. They have shown up at the various protests looking more like the 101 Airborne than police officers and have proceeded to shoot teargas into crowds of people with their hands up. At least they haven’t started firing their automatic weapons yet.

We also ask that black people refrain from being in public at all. And if they are in public they are to lay down on their bellies with their hands behind their heads as soon as they see any law enforcement personnel. Failure to do leaves us no other choice but to immediately open fire with deadly force. Repeatedly. Only through your complete and utter compliance can we guarantee the safety of incredibly white police force.

Not to mention the fact that they have not interviewed the young man that was with the victim when this happened and saw the entire thing.
I have such little respect for the police. I realize there are some good ones, but I do believe there are less of them than the worst of the worst.
That is the worst part. I fear nothing will be done unless prominent white leaders start coming out and speaking out and not just shame shame really taking a stand on this. It is beyond criminal to treat people this way and its been going on for too long. As if black lives don’t count.
It should be quite apparent that the cops have absolutely no end game in sight after this incredibly tone deaf statement. They are itching to start replacing the rubber bullets and tear gas with live ammo and explosives and level the entire town. This sort of public statement from their office is just shy of the order to do exactly that.

Best chance is if a blonde white girl gets shot by the cops. Of course only way that would happen is if she was sitting next to a black male at the time.
Anyone they kill is a “violent” demonstrator.
