“F*** you, f*** Muhammad, f*** Islam. This is America. If you don’t like the way we do s***, get the f*** out,” the man said in the message left at the Masjid Al-Sahaabah, which was accessed by local TV station KDFW.
Hmm…seems like someone needs a pocket Constitution. Paging Mr. Khan…
Watauga Police Sergeant Jason Babcock confirmed to TPM on Monday that his department had launched an investigation into the call, but refrained from calling the recording a direct threat since no individual was mentioned by name.
***“It is not necessarily clear at this point that we have a direct threat to any specific person,***” Babcock told TPM. “But we are working with the FBI to see if we can figure out exactly is going on with that individual who called.”
So I gather the constraints the police claim to be under means a person could legally phone the mosque promising to mow down the ***entire*** congregation with a machine gun. You know, since no individual was specifically threatened.
“It is not necessarily clear at this point that we have a direct threat
to any specific person,” Babcock told TPM. “But we are working with the
FBI to see if we can figure out exactly is going on with that individual
who called.”
…
Umm… Mr Babcock, decapitation is in my opinion a rather specific threat. And the caller did say “all of you” which would include all the members of that mosque.
Mr Babcock, do you need a body part of an individual you know on your porch to have that threat be a specific one? Get to work. Get with the FBI and find the person who made this threat before someone is injured or killed.
I guess you could threaten to kill the President and if they arrested you say “Hey, I didn’t say WHICH President!! Did you hear me use a name?!?!? Huh!?! Huh!?!”
Could someone point out to me the parts of Christ’s teachings where he advocated decapitation of one’s enemies? I must have missed it. We really have entered The Twilight Zone. Or, in the immortal words of the esteemed Dr. Peter Venkman, “Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!” Maybe not quite that bad…yet. Wait until Hair Furor loses the election and his supporters decide to “fix it.”
No. This has been another edition of short answers to (ahem) stupid questions.
I don’t understand why everyone’s so upset about this guy claiming to be a Christian. I definitely remember in the Gospel According to Ted, Jesus flexed his pectorals, torn his hands off the nails and did a ninja flip to pull his feet free. Then he pulled an M-60 out of his loincloth, tied the loincloth around the thorns on his brow (leaving his 10" dick swinging in the breeze), and proceeded to wipe out the entire Roman garrison while crying “Are we allowed to win this time?”
That’s the kind of Christ I’d love if I was a Christian.
“Our roads and bridges fell into disrepair, yet we found the money to resettle millions of refugees at taxpayer expense.”
"Just be aware, the reason the nation's infrastructure is in disrepair is because of the goddamned Mexicans and Muslims! I'll get back to you when I figure out how women have contributed to this fucking mess!!!"
FIFY
White Christian Privilege on display.
It’s only “Terrorist” if a non-white or non-christian person does it. Otherwise it’s just “an isolated incident.”
For the 240 years of the countries existence I don’t think we have resettled a million refuges. Immigration certainly, migration yes. Trump wildly inflates numbers to rile his low information, Drudge siren wanking supporters.
This must be a religious thing, because I served in the military and swore to uphold the Constitution, meaning that folks were FREE to practice the religion of their choice.
I’m not sure if having the local police taking part in the investigation is a good idea or not. While it is almost assured that they know exactly who sent the message, it is also almost assured that he will be protected because if he isn’t a cop himself, they at least sympathize with him. This is Texas, you know.
