Discussion for article #228123

Boy, I feel sorry for anyone stranded there right now. Going to take days to return to normal.

Ground stop appears to be over. I heard a couple of planes approaching O’Hare to land about 10 minutes ago.

I know the Cubs lose a lot, but that’s really no reason.

A friend of mine left my place this morning at 5 am to catch a flight at O’Hare, where he still is. Flight has been cancelled, tomorrow everything is already booked, and Sunday looks problematic. One little fire 40 miles away…

“He said it was not a terrorist act . . .”

Maybe not in the traditional IRA or Al-Qaeda sense, but it still caused massive disruptions of the nation’s air travel.

That control center controls the entire Midwest! This will affect flights all over the US…the only worse place this could happen would be ATL. I feel for anyone flying today.

This is an absolutely amazing story and, as with the pro football violence imbroglio, I’m left wondering what exactly do the multimillion dollar executives of the affected businesses do with their time since managing their organizations doesn’t seem to be in the mix?

Well, c’mon, AP, what was his religion? If he was Muslim, you know you’d be featuring that prominently.

We have 400+ workplace murders annually, and we focus on the religion of the one, in Oklahoma no less, who does it by beheading because somehow that’s relevant.

I’m left to conclude that this guy who crippled the air traffic system just doesn’t serve to amp up the fear and hate in a direction that supports this re-opening of War Without End in the Middle East.

It’s not a terrorist act by definition if he’s not Muslim.
