Discussion: Police: Armed Man Didn't Actually Say He Wanted To Harm LA Pride Parade

So wait. They are worrying about a misstatement as to whether he said he wanted to harm anyone when they guy had a car full of guns and ammunition and was headed to the Gay Pride parade.

Oh he is just a mentally unstable person with a bunch of assault weapons and chemicals who believes in crazy anti government conspiracy’s, nothing to worry about.

Of course they are downplaying this – because he’s a white Christian, after all.

and Howell was ordered to forfeit all weapons as part of his probation.

But hey as long as he doesn’t he wants to hurt someone… there should not be any problem at all. Who’s ever heard of white guys doing a mass shooting and hen they do they write an statement of intention and have it notarized.

was himself bisexual

Likely many of us could dish on this emotionally fraught and sometimes explosive aspect of male sexuality when not integrated and accepted by the individual, even as it could possibly relate to the shooter’s motivations in the Florida horror. And I certainly would not fault the ‘in the moment’ incorrect addition of distraught man plus car full of weapons but I commend the police, again, for having the courage to fess up and correct this critical element in the record so quickly after the fact.

His Facebook page reportedly featured posts blaming the U.S. government for the Sept. 11 terror attacks, questioning whether the Paris terror attacks were a hoax and likening Hillary Clinton to Adolf Hitler.

Seems like a nice guy.

The police seem to think so.

OK then. We are back to a person legally ordered to forfeit his weapons cruising around with a bunch of guns, ammunition, and chemicals suitable for making IED’s. He probably just slipped away from his guardian that day.

The LA Times story yesterday noted that in addition to the 911 Truther nonsense, the suspect also mentioned the “New World Order.”

Maybe he was just out hunting black helicopters.

Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do
say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on
the breaks.

The LA Times reported that Howell, who is from Indiana, was charged there in October 2015 for intimidation and pointing a firearm at another person. After pleading guilty to misdemeanor intimidation, the pointing a firearm charge was dropped, and Howell was ordered to forfeit all weapons as part of his probation.

But he got his guns and bomb making materials back, right?

So initially they had the wrong target. That doesn’t make him any safer.

A nice guy who listens to Alex Jones… and is willing to act on it.

All we need do is ask Donnie Trump. he has all the answers cuz he has magical super powers
telepathy,
a superior brain by his own admission that allows him to see the future,
tiny fingers indicating his alien birth on Seti Omicron 5,
His Vulgarian birth certificate (long form of course) proves it.

So just another day in the NRA’s America with a heavily armed nut driving around.

I fear you’re jumping to conclusions Chammy.

Lt. Rodriguez said Howell did not say anything as far as motives or his intentions, and Joseph Greeson, a friend of Howell’s, told the LA Times that Howell harbored no resentment towards LGBT people. I think he was going to the Gay Pride parade in his capacity as the good guy with a gun to prevent a replay of Orlando.

Comforting to know this dude wasn’t stupid enough to actually make threats to the cops. He certainly violated his probation.

He was 5 years old on 9/11. All he knows is this crazy conspiracy BS

Gee, I feel safer already.
