I know it may not be the best time to second guess what was done to round up and disarm the Cliven Bundy bunch out thereâŚbut they really should have rounded them all up and put them in jail. Even if it meant taking fire. These lunatics here could have very easily been influenced by those other lunatics.

Itâs being reported on Daily Kos that the fellow killed in Walmart was carrying a concealed weapon and opened fire, only to be shot and killed by the two gunmen.

Children are not safe in their classrooms, police officers are targeted. There are criminals and mentally ill people in every country but only in the United States are guns so prevalent that mass shootings are a weekly event.
The gun extremists (Many of the NRAâs membership.) now have the attitude that anyone who poses a threat to their right to bear arms is a target. We saw this with Cliven Bundyâs posse and we see it with the âSovereign Citizensâ.

This shows the fallacy that open carry can prevent shootings: Shooters have an asymmetrical advantage. You canât predict when these random attacks will occur and you have to live your life and canât be on guard 24-7. The shooter can surprise everyone and the shooting can be over very quickly.
The only realistic strategy for stopping these attacks is stricter gun control laws, and better mental health responses. This wonât stop all attacks, but in addition to better security at public places, these would stop many/most of them. In several of the worst attacks, mental health problems were known â Navy Yard shooter, Newtown, Gabby Giffords, Colorado theater ⌠â and guns should never have been sold to the killers.

I despair when I see more and more of this sort of thing. It makes me feel that the country is descending into madness.
We donât know what the politics of these murderers was, but in the most important ways, it really doesnât matter.

I took a quick look at Fox and mostly thatâs not where they were going. Lots of commentary on how this must have been done by illegal immigrants or that the out of proportion reporting was a cover for a major illegal immigrant incursion at the border - I dunno, something about trying to cover up Drudgeâs latest headline? Most were mindless drivel about âlibtardsâ and somehow the existence of such people was responsible. Someone suggested that Obamaâs children were responsible which morphed into placing the blame on all black people. Some suggested that this is all you can expect when we have Obama in the White House because it brings the country down so. Others suggested that cops deserved this sort of attack because of police misconduct elsewhere or even general distrust of the authority of law. Mostly the comments were filled with foaming hate and paranoia that had nothing to do with the situation at hand. Disturbing, actually.

Its not unusual to hear gunfucks say that they have arsenals because the 2nd Amendment gives them the right to âfight the governmentâ, so itâs really not unexpected that some of them would wake up and say âtodays the day to startâ given the kind of fantasy bubble thats created by Fox and The NRA and the like.

Anyone else notice an uptick in gun violence.
I think itâs suspect. Donât react so fast. They want to disarm us.
A little research shows that the shooting of the armed civilian has been reported by a bystander, but not yet confirmed.
On RS I kept my Bundy suppositions off the post, many folks seem to have done otherwise.

OCCUPY should have started with FOX, along with Wall Street. Specifically, OCCUPY should have taken great pains to points out the lies.
Another revolutionary cell of the NRAâs Confederacy of Dunces Brigade takes history into their own hands. (with apologies to J.K. Toole) I think the NRAâs rationales are melting like a Madame Tussaudâs display in a Vegas parking lot.
