Is there any remaining part of the G.O.P. that isn’t just a gigantic cesspool?

The Republican Party is clearly a Russian Infiltrated Organized Crime Syndicate.

Is it still important that we have only two viable parties: Republicans and Democrats?

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were other choices?

“She said she feared Broidy because he had a gun and told her he could make people disappear.”

So why isn’t he being arrested?

This was a horrifying read. I felt ill.

Broidy is what I think most people would charitably describe as ‘gross’. Now, we also learn that he is an abusive person (surprise…well…not really).

Why a woman as pretty as Bechard would want to hang out with a guy like Broidy is something I won’t pretend to understand. There are lots of people with money, especially in a place like Los Angeles, and there are lots of rich men who would gladly approach Bechard for a date or some other arrangement. Not all of them are gross pigs either.

Yeah… I’m sure he was Mr. Personality at first!

I can’t imagine that a man as good-looking as Broidy would have to force his dates to drink heavily…one does have to wonder what was going through this woman’s mind to have sexual relations with this troll.

Well, she was Hugh Hefner’s new girlfriend in 2011 when she was also named Playmate in November, 2011. Hef was in his 80’s then. Career and money most likely were the motivating factors in each case.

They say that money is a hell of an aphrodisiac. It must be. Look at these guys. They are truly gross. Paper bags wouldn’t hide his ugliness. Funny how the anti-abortion party loves abortion when they need it for themselves.

First, this man need some serious plastic surgery, he is as ugly as a gargoyle.

Second, indeed- why aren’t there criminal charges brought against this slime bucket as Shera Bechard felt her life was threatened? Perhaps she was too frightened to go to the police, but doesn’t the business with the gun point to some sort of reckless endangerment?

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the law other than I need a drivers license to drive a car and if I don’t pay my taxes I’ll be thrown in the hoosegow*.

*hoosegow (n.)
“jail,” 1911, western U.S., probably from mispronunciation of Mexican Spanish juzgao “tribunal, court,” from juzgar “to judge,” used as a noun, from Latin iudicare “to judge,” which is related to iudicem (see judge (n.)).

I have not thought of or used that word in twenty years. What a hoot!

Our “winner takes all” elections lead inevitably to two dominant parties. You might get a single election cycle with more than two competitive parties, but that is an unstable situation in a “winner takes all” system.

Is being a filthy criminal a requirement to being on the Republican National Committee? How is the RNC NOT a criminal enterprise? Can’t RICO statutes bring the whole thing down now?

I can’t imagine they are following ANY of the laws regarding their money? I think Jeff Sessions should look into THAT!

On suspicion of what crime?

The article doesn’t say that he threatened her with a gun, only that he owns one.

The article doesn’t say that he threatened to make her disappear, only that he said he could make people disappear. To make that last a credible and specific threat takes a lot of context that you would expect to see included in the suit if his claim was made in that context. He may have been bragging about his ability to turn political aspirants into nobodies.

“But in 2016 he became increasingly violent and also told her she was “fat and needed to fix it” with liposuction, the suit said.”

What does that mean?

yeah, that’s the kind of treatment reserved for bindlestiffs, not the rich guys

"…when I failed to pay her demands, she did what blackmailers do and went public with her lies.”

Last I checked, that’s not how blackmail works, Broidy. It’s the threat of going public that’s the leverage, see? It’s like a gun with only one bullet. I thought you’d be better at bottom-feeding crime.
