I can dig it!
Let’s hope that this isn’t a flash in the pan. The movement must continue, to make any difference in the lives of the worker, this movement must challenge the oligarch and plutocrat at every turn.
The only way to make any changes in any of the lives of the workers, the continued protests are going to have to keep up the pressure on the owners of these predatory businesses. I’m certainly looking forward to the time when the businesses are willing to pay a living wage, a wage which will ensure that all the workers can live a decent life without fear of becoming homeless within one or two paychecks.
Old Henry Ford paid his workers enough that they could buy one of the cars they manufactured for him. Walfart pays their workers so poorly that they have to shop there. Along with reestablishing the company store, the Walton clan also rakes in a tidy government subsidy to provide their workers with welfare and health care at taxpayers’ expense.
Work Hard, Live Badly. This is the Republican model for American workers.
