living in California I had to live thru the Reagan regime twice, governor and president, but time puts some distance between the bad things so Iâm gonna resist the temptation to say bad things and Just Say NoâŚ

Edgar Hoover to target peace activists, used ¨welfare queens¨ and ¨State´s Rights¨ to appeal to racist voters, sold arms for hostages in Iran, attacked Unions, invaded little Grenada to make people forget about the 200 + dead Marines in Lebanon, gave money to the richest Americans at the expense of the less well-off, blew up the deficit, supported death squads around the worldâŚ
Look, if my mate does even half of that, I´m filing for divorce.

The china was paid for by private donations, and Iâm pretty sure the ketchup initiative was not her idea. Ronnie was my governor, and I disagreed with almost everything he did then and as president, but Itâs unseemly how many otherwise thoughtful, sane people are so happy to jump on the grave of a woman who spent her last years enfeebled and like most elderly widows probably hoped to die soon.

I hope you don´t think that I am ¨jumping on the grave of a woman who spent her last years enfeebled.¨ I am criticizing a one-time healthy person (as seen in most of these photos) who chose to associate herself, of her own free will, with a person who did real harm to real people here and in the rest of the world. As a personal matter, I am sure that her family and the people who knew her are sad, and they have my condolences. But itâs her public life, the only life that I know anything of, that Iâm responding to.

Nancy Reganâs stepfather, Loyal Davis, not only influenced Reagan to leave the Democratic party and become a hardline conservative, he and his cohorts financed Reaganâs entree into politics.

Ah yes, letâs all be kind to âJust Say No.â If you have any recreational drugs â and Iâm not advocating them, but if you already have them in hand, and (I hope) are using them with caution â take a big pull for Nancy, and give thanks that Ronnieâs lingering war on drugs doesnât have you behind bars.
