From Harper to Trudeau. A lesson for people who sit out elections, claiming “all politicians are the same.”

waiting for Donnie Dipstick to tweet that under his regime Canadian Prime Minister would be barred from visiting the US as a suspected Fellow Traveler of Islamic Terrorists…

also would ban maple syrup imports and would keep Canadian moose from crossing the border by building a wall…

Just a little culture shock huh? From the heated wartorn deserts to the great white north.
These Syrians have to be happy and sort of sad at the same time. They have had to relocate from their homeland but did successfully-so good and bad and they are being greeted by kind people in Canada and luckily not the hateful right wing of the USA, so lucky.

Syrian Canucks is an interesting mix.

The wonderful, flag-waving evening performance that followed the Calgary Stampede the night we attended last July ended with a short film of two immigrant families who had chosen to immigrate to Canada. The families and a judge then walked out on stage. Each member of the families raised their right hand and repeated an oath of loyalty to the Queen and her heirs…and then were declared Canada’s newest citizens as fireworks soared through the night air. Old fashioned decency is a wonderful thing to witness.

There are well-established Syrian communities in Canada. The most famous member is probably Paul Anka.

Justin is doing his father proud; too bad Pierre didn’t live to see the day. The Liberals are at 52%, over 10 pts higher than they were on election day. The message for candidates in the US is let the haters grab their 30% of the electorate and don’t worry about them. Offer a positive vision.

Canadian Robin Williams fan :

“Can you come to Canada so I can hug you? I love you for naming your daughter Zelda.”

Williams’ response: “I will be there as soon as I can! You have to give me a more specific location, you are a big country. You are the kindest country in the world. You are like a really nice apartment over a meth lab.”

Thanks, I was not aware of either of these things.
And you are dead right about the wacko percentage. They exist and they make noise but that doesn’t mean that they have to be catered to. I have been saying this for years.
Our agenda is the winning agenda and the right agenda, that is all that we need to focus on.

Huckabee: This is not how Jesus saw the world to be. These refugees are terrorists and should be locked up.
Michele Fiore: I will kill these refugees.

Meanwhile, up North, in the genuine country America should emulate (not that they can, but it’s the trying that counts.)

Walker already floated that idea I believe. Obviously, it didn’t go over all that well.
