OMG, “Akorn”? Enter RWNJ shitshow, stage right…
Nobody or industry involved in Healthcare should be forced to participate in the intentional harm of a person. It’s a violation of a boat load of administrative laws for a Doc to so and it should be for all facets of the industry. Without a physician issuing the need and dose of a controlled substance such as medazolam the use is illegal. It’s no different than street use.
That needs to be resolved.
It’s a big generic manufacturer. But your point is well taken.
When did Big Pharma suddenly get a conscience?
When others using their drugs to kill people started to squeeze into their monopoly.
Akorn is fighting a losing battle. The Pro-Life Party’s desire to kill people will not be denied.
They’re pretty open minded about it, too. As long as the birth canal is in your rear view mirror, you’re fair game.
Well said, The_Mask!
When its lawyers pointed out potentially huge lawsuits against them.
I think lethal injection exists mainly to make the killing more palatable to executioners and observers. This pretense of caring about the prisoners’ well being should just be dropped. If states truly cannot find enough people to stomach the brutality inflicted in their name, they should take the hint and just imprison their worst murderers for life instead.
I am with the Roman Catholic Church (though I’m not Roman Catholic) that the death penalty should be eliminated. It is more expensive, more wasteful of my tax dollars, and more cruel than life in prison without parole. Eliminating the death penalty would make us a more civil society.
