Discussion: Peter King: Trump Should 'Absolutely' Take Back 2nd Amendment Comment

He went on to suggest that Trump might not have understood the implications of his comment. “I don’t think he even fully appreciated what he was saying,” King said

Pete King confirms that Trump has the intellectual level of a five-year-old.

Trump’s provocation is also a sign he has nuthin’. Zip. He’s a frustrated businessman trailing in a contest he has no idea how to wage. He has no equipment for this. He has no patience. He has no wisdom. He has no relevant knowledge. He has no friends. He has no foresight. He has no wit. He has no imagination.

Trump is a fraud. He’s worried we might see that–and he has no idea we have always known.

I watched this asswipe getting interviewed on Morning Joe. Your headline is misleading as King was defending Trump . Headline should have been… “King praises Trump’s temperment as a potential POTUS”

“When I said attack China it was an over the shoulder remark. What do you mean we are at war?”

Not only that but THIS!

Who benefits if Trump incites his followers to violence against Hillary and our democracy? Not our country. Turns out our second amendment permits all of us to bear arms. And, if we, our families, our country are threatened by a would-be tyrant who inflames mobs, we who don’t own guns will wipe off our tears, face down our fears, arm ourselves, and act in self-defense. Most of the rest of the world will weep as America, its last best hope, descends into a second civil war filled with horror, loss, and vengeance. While, safely on the sidelines, the NRA, arms merchants, ISIL, and other tyrants profit from our misery and laugh.

All decent Americans, no matter party, no matter walk of life, must now together take away the megaphone and match from Trump. Certainly our laws permit this; he is mortal threat, not joke. After disarming him, we can together stop the bleeding he has caused in us. Then, and only then, can we begin to heal our wounds.

When Pete King is the reasonable one in the room, you know just how totally loony the whole Trump thing is.

Only King is not reasonable. He even states Trump does, in fact, have the temperament to be POTUS. He hems and haws his way through this interview. King defends Trump far more than this one line.

As other commenters have pointed out, King doubled back by stating his belief that Trump has “…the temperament to be Commander-in-Chief.” (I read the whole post, not just the headline.) King is a repellent scumbag who supported the Provisional IRA. Why should anyone care what he says?? What is truly shocking is that this man has been elected to office as many times as he has. A complete lack of taste, refinement and sense in those who persist in voting for this toad. But then, they probably back Trump, too. “The common clay of the New West…you know, morons!” (Yes, I am also aware he represents a district on Long Island.) Stupidity is not limited to those who live west of the Mississippi.

He is in the news cycle. This is all he cares about. Mission accomplished.

Not to worry, Pete King is not being reasonable at all. He is trying to spin away Trump’s incompetence by claiming that he’s too stupid to realize what he’s saying, but he’d still make a great President. Reasonable doesn’t come into it.

“Do you think he has the temperament to be the commander in chief?” Scarborough pressed.

“Yes, I do,” King replied.

Sorry if you believe this Peter, you truly are no better than Trump.

Yes yes. However, Rep. King, the IRA terrorist lover, joined the GOP chorus on spinning Trump’s clear incitation to violence is more ridiculous than the Great Super Bowl Half Time Wardrobe Malfunction spin.

From Lawyers, Guns & Money;

'Last month, an adviser to Trump named Al Baldasaro was investigated by
the Secret Service after saying that Clinton should be “should be put in
the firing line and shot for treason.” Earlier this week, Trump praised
Baldasaro, saying that he had “been so great.”"

This latest threat isn’t outside the so called normal range of Donnie’s campaign.

WikiLeaks is non-partisan.

Or so they claim – but I don’t believe them.

But that’s the thing…when has Trump ever actually apologized??

And I don’t mean a real heartfelt apology. I’m talking about the perfunctory, glib “I’m sorry I got caught” type apology most politicians are good at.

He won’t even do that!! He’d rather give a completely dumbass explanation that a five year old can see through than even fake an apology.

And that’s a problem.
