Perhaps Gov. Perry could put his compassion where his mouth is and actually encourage the wing nuts that represent his state to engage productively in immigration reform? Then again, why would he care about illegal immigration in Texas considering he’ll be moving to California shortly.

Knows he’s turned a blind-eye to the issue of border control during the entirety of his tenure as governor of this state.
There’s no possibility he could attract new businesses to this state without the ‘layer of labor’ offered by those who work undocumented. That contingent in the labor force keeps all wages lower, taxes lower, and more attractive to those new businesses.
What a callow and self-serving statement.
So, Gov Perry.
Why not set a date for another stadia-filled mega-prayer to offset the needs of these refuged peoples?

It’s you GOP freaks who won’t…no …who REFUSES to do anything about immigration reform. It was YOUR Speaker of the House, John Boehner who said immigration reform was dead. HE has the power to bring bills forward or not. Go talk to him Rick. Then get in front of a camera and apologize to the President. That’s what a man with any personal honor would do.

If Obama tried to act unilaterally to address the crisis-level, broken immigration system, the right would be in a tizzy over his unconstitutional power grab as the most dangerous president the nation has ever seen.
When nothing gets done because congress abdicates its responsibility to address such a massive problem through legislation, it’s also Obama’s fault 'cause “they’re in on this somehow or another.”
“The nation is stalemated, and issues of great concern to the people, immigration among them, are being held up and intentionally sabotaged by members of my own party,” said no Republican ever.

If Perry and the rest of the GOP-Tea-NSDAP are TRULY committed to the cause of ending illegal immigration, why are they not campaigning in the streets and state houses for laws that seize and liquidate businesses that hire illegals, as well as making the company ownership and management criminally liable for it?
Why are they always after the junkie, but not the pusher?
If they are serious about this “issue”, they should be telling their big business sugar daddies to knock off the hiring of illegal immigrants, with the depression of American wages it brings.

Curiously, Perry and the gang have nothing to say about the chinese “birthing centers” on the west coast, where middle and upper-class chinese are coming to give birth to a dual-citizen.
If they were being consistent (a pipe dream, I know) they’d be raging about that as well.
