If I were preparing a list of the top thousand things I find upsetting during the trump era, I’m not sure making some assistant pick up some dry cleaning would make the list. Maybe not even the top hundred thousand…
Indeed. In the litany of the personal and political malfeasance of the Trump administration, this hardly lifts the needle off the peg. In terms of atmospheric disturbance, this would rate somewhere around “fart in a windstorm”.
White was appointed to her position in April 2017 and is a direct employee of Defense Secretary James Mattis.
CNN reports it reviewed documents that the inspector general’s office is investigating claims that White transferred at least two staffers who made complaints the alleged misuse of staff.
How about “transferring” people who complained about it?
It’s swamp all the way down.
“Dana White has decided that she has accomplished everything she set out to do and now is a good time to spend more time with her family. Secretary Mattis praises her service to our country and wishes her well.”
It seems trivial, but it’s symptomatic of the deeper underlying problem. None of these Trumpians has any grasp of the meaning of “public service.” The attitude always seems to be, “The most important thing about this position is me in it.”
The more grief this administration suffers the better for us all.
I hate to say it, but using subordinates to do personal errands has probably been going on (on both sides of the aisle) since forever. It’s the retribution that takes it to another level.
This rotten administration will surely become the most secretly recorded in history. If there are any decent staff members (and there must be a few), they are taking note of the Cohen/Omarosa tactics of protecting themselves with tapes of their crooked bosses. The more, the better. Flush this heinous administration down the crapper.
meanwhile, the president is receiving bribes from foreign nationals and insiders by being guests at his hotel, protecting his properties with sweetheart deals through graft and corruption, and engaged in betraying his country to the russians - I think these investigating departments could find something other than this lady to reprimand.
but I am sorry for employees that had to pick up dry cleaning in the midst of the destruction of our democracy
When the first anti-hate crime bill was passed - if memory serves, it was in the eighties - the first person to be charged under the new law was an African American in a state in the mid-west.
They always get the minorities first. Not that the violation of the laws by minorities should be excused, but they always get the minorities first. Even after the 2008 crisis, one of the first few persons to be charged was from South Asia.
I think people just don’t understand the feudal system anymore.
