Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, refused to answer questions about what Trump’s tweeted announcement means for the current policy, including whether transgender people already serving in the military will be kicked out.“Call the White House,” he said.
No, Captain Jeff, you’re the Pentagon spokesperson. The “president” must have checked in with you guys before making a sweeping change to policy. What’s your statement?!?
The Asshole-elect doesn’t check in with anyone except his imaginary friends.
Does this mean Kellyanne Conway can no longer serve our commander in chief?
Even his imaginary friends only pretend to like him for his money.
What, the military wasn’t watching Fox News last night? They could have anticipated this if they had.
It’s okay, HIS generals are all on board, having sworn the personal Drumpf Loyalty Manifesto.
LOL…of course the Pentagon didn’t know yet. This was Trump acting impulsively “on instinct” in the belief that he’s got the most incredible political instincts every to fall out of a vagina.
Or groped one…
Fixed.
I heard on my Twitter TL that the GOP thinks this will be a wedge issue in '18. Which is TOTAL BS. The GOP doesn’t have anything.
Well, to be fair, alot of us fall out and then spend the rest of our lives trying to get back in…
Take that as Freudian as you want.
I don’t believe that he necessarily “must have.” What this does for me is reinforce the idea that this transgender ban is merely a devastating distraction for the Orange Ogre. And what’s his thing with bans?
Studio 54…
I would think there would be some kind of military “revolt.” Even if members of the military lean conservative, it is outrageous for Trump to disrespect them in this way. However, I heard an interview shortly after Trump won the election; can’t remember the official’s name. He said that generals didn’t like Obama primarily because he was so cautious about actions they proposed. This general said something like “President Obama asked so many questions, demanded so many explanations, thought about things for a long time - and we really wanted to take action.” So maybe, they will allow themselves to be excluded from the process because Trump just does stuff.
Ahh…Ha ! …
This is the most pathetic wedge issue ever.
It’s deplorable and un-American (as I used to understand America) and I am desperately sad for the several thousand lives it will upend, don’t get me wrong. But the notion that this is going to be a substantial political issue in 2018, that Dear Leader Trump kept the icky trannies out of the Army? In a year that, no matter what ends up happening, health care will have been hanging in the balance for tens of millions? C’mon, pull the other one.
