Discussion: Penn State President Decries New Joe Paterno Allegations

Barron said those allegations, and others raised in some news reports in recent days about allegations related to knowledge by Paterno, are “unsubstantiated and unsupported by any evidence other than a claim by an alleged victim.”

That claim, plus Sandusky’s criminal convictions for the exact same kind of behavior.
Is the Catholic Church’s former PR team advising the Penn State President on how to handle this?

JoePa could have done it with a goat on the 50 yard line ,on National TV, and the Penn State football fans would deny it happened.
Or they would say,“it was good for the goat.”

The claim from the insurance company is that Paterno–and hence the Penn State administration–knew about Sandusky’s depravity as long ago as 1976, and did nothing to put a stop to it.

If true, the insurance company will be off the hook for paying claims to the victims, as well as paying for any further legal fees. The burden will shift to the university, which in practice means to the taxpayers.

Well, then, President Joe Barron, if this is all too much for you, why not resign? I know - you have 800,000 reasons to stay.

He left earlier this year when Eric J. Barron, former president of Florida State University, was hired. Barron got a base pay of $800,000, which was almost $140,000 more than Erickson’s, according to media reports.

Everyone but the kids who got raped stand to lose a bunch of money. Any time you’re talking about another $90 million there is significant motive for all sorts of chicanery.

Yep, complaining about the new, perfectly plausible allegations won’t remind anyone about Penn State’s years of refusal to investigate or take action on the previous allegations that led to a conviction. First law of holes…

My advice to Sue Paterno - your husband’s character can’t be assassinated, it already committed suicide. It’s time for you to just shut your trap and disappear.

Do yourself a favor and stay out of this, Pres.

“Coach Paterno is not alive to refute them.”

Well, there ya go, I suppose.

Not guilty by reason of worm-dirt?

Republicans will circle the wagons around Penn State, Joe Paterno, Jerry Sanduski, Dennis Hastert, AMC hiker Sanborn, and Larry Craig…nd the list goes on.

Republicans in North Carolina, Indiana, and beyond should be a lot more worried about their own perverts and their own pedophiles…the Republicans are the one’s to worry about in bathrooms.

Build out houses for the party of pigs and ban them from the bathrooms! It’s a lot easier to ID a Republican than it is a so called “Muslim” at the border.

When victims come forward it’s all hush-hush and bury the testimony. But when the dispute is over money between two large corporate identities, suddenly that testimony not only matters, it becomes public.

Unless the current President was involved with this and is trying to cover his ass, or has some proof that it never happened, why would he even address it?

The utility of frequent discussions in the press is repeated reminders to similarly situated coaches, teachers and administrators that it isn’t a good idea to try to keep things quiet.

If you lived here you would understand.
Defend JoePA or perish!

I can’t understand why anyone would be surprised that Jock Culture is full of these sick freaks.
That they would erect a statue “honoring” one of the most useless, trite professions shows how these idiot jocks believe that their beloved sports are more than just a dumb game played by dunces. Of course this freak coach knew what was going on, they’ll most likely find out that he was a participant in these shower-room activities himself. Sick perverts, and all for a childish, dumb and violent game. Get rid of all high school and college sports.

There is no mention of Trump on this headline or even in the article.

How did that sneak past the editors?
