Pence is tying himself so tightly to Trump that if Trump goes down he’s going to take Pence with him. If Pence was smart, given his political ambitions, he would put a little distance between Trump and himself.
It would be simpler to just ask Pence to list all the staff and Cabinet members who have the full confidence of Trump and Pence. That way they can be packed.
