Whatâs this? Vice President Stay-Away-Ladies-Iâm-Married did something pro-business and anti-human? gasp
Itâs easy to forget about this jerk when there are so mny other jerks to watch.
And he stepped in when Neil was elected to SCOTUS .
I believe in class-action reform, too. The minimum payment should be $100 to each class member, and the payment should be mailed automatically. If the court determines Iâm entitled to an award, I should get a surprise gift card for 100 bucks. Not a surprise email, linking me to an application to fill out and wait 6 months for $2.19.
As we are distracted by the daily Trump tantrums little bits of reasonable legislation, necessary policy are chipped away when no one is looking.
So how did Abraham LIncolnâs spiritual son, Jeff Flake, vote on this? With Graham and Cassidy? With Ellzabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer?
People wonder why would the President lie about calling Mrs. Johnson, double down, triple down, lie about Rep Wilson, scurry to mail letters and make phone calls heâd lied about having already made, give a half-assed phone performance that left Mrs. Wilson crying, hide behind General Kelly and ruin his hard-earned reputation in the process, and generally drag out that whole sorry shit show for a week?
This is why.
My wife said, after watching Mrs. Johnsonâs Today Show interview, âThis needs to stop. It doesnât benefit anyone.â She was incorrect. It benefits bank executives and share holders.
You donât have a hair on your ass if you donât get your money out of commercial banking and into a local credit union AND TELL THOSE FUCKERS WHY YOUâRE DOING IT.
So Wall St paid Dems for nothing?/s
Take that, all of you who say âBut both sides do itâ!!
Were the Democrats gathered in the well of the Senate shouting âDrain the swamp! Drain the swamp!â as this went down. No? They should have been.
Sadly, no.
Itâs a lot more complicated than that. It is often impossible to know all class members until they seek to qualify for payment. In large class actions, the attorneys may spend millions of dollars (literally) in obtaining evidence, paying for studies and retaining experts, with no guaranty that they will get any fee at all. The lawyers typically put in thousands of hours of work, again with no guaranty of payment. And one of the primary purposes for class actions is to change corporate behavior; for that, the total amount that the company has to pay out is more important than how much each class member gets.
Richard Cordray, director of the consumer bureau, said: âTonightâs vote is a giant setback for every consumer in this country. Wall Street won and ordinary people lost. This vote means the courtroom doors will remain closed for groups of people seeking justice and relief when they are wronged by a company.â
Dirty QTip saves the day for Wallstreet. Punking âordinary peopleâ - including trumpsters - once again. What was it that they were supposed to be draining again?
Where were the latest tv âheroesâ corker and flake? Donât be fooled. Actions talk, bullshit walks.
It seems the new Liberal darlings Corker and Flake remained true to the cause and voted to fuck over the American people. I hope theyâre reminded of their votes as they work the Morning Show green rooms.
Wallstreet Hillary told Pence to vote this way. Sheâs the fake progressive behind all our woes. Thank god Stein voters stopped her!
True but the value of Class Action is in its power. We shouldât put on Huckabee Sandersâs blinds and look at it in terms of what consumers get in the form of bucks. Class is where itâs at if you want to go up against the big boys. It makes an army out of the wronged instead of a bunch of individual soldiers as this piece of legislation does. Thereâs a reason the GOP wanted this and itâs not because itâs fair. Nor does it have anything to do with small financial institutions saddled with frivolous lawsuits. Its protection for the big boys and a get out of jail free card. Itâs not about 32 bucks or the attorneys cut. Itâs about a boot big enough to kick the monstrous ass of the financial sector.
OK. But did I say something contrary to that?
Not contrary but like most you framed your argument in peripheral issues. Thatâs how legislation like this gets by. Itâs not about any of the âconcernsâ those for and against this legislation have or the ins and outs of Class⌠This bill kills the only tool Americans had to fight a monster. Thatâs all its about.
Conservatives are at their core predators so caveat emptor or prepare to be eaten. I also suggest debit cards shread the other kind. 22% interest come on ⌠the mafia canât get that.
